A/n:
This is based on the same headcannon as the last one. All of these will probably be connected to this one. Enjoy.
"Hurry up, Gumball! We have no idea when they'll wake up; we gotta hustle!"
"Alright, I get it and I'm trying as hard as you are!"
Pancake was so excited to be able to celebrate Father's Day, so he felt it was best to surprise Herb and Sparkling. He got help from his older brother, Gumball, since he's never celebrated it either.
Pancake and Gumball arrived at Pure Vanilla's kingdom to steal Custard. Custard usually spends his time at Herb and Sparkling's place, but when Pure Vanilla is actually home he has to go too. It sucks because he's happier with his different family.
They got through security pretty easily and sneakily, because c'mon, Gumball has the skill. They snuck through Custard's window, who knows how.
Gumball climbs through first and turns around to help Pancake. They both succeed. They climbed in and saw sleeping Custard. He was supposed to be awake and ready to leave by now, but it seems someone forgot.
"WAKE UP STUPID DUMMY HEAD!" Gumball screeches as he smacks Custard on the head.
Custard slowly wakes and sits up. He doesn't realize what he's late for. "What... OH, I'M SORRY I FORGOT! OH NO JUST GIVE ME LIKE 1 MINUTE!" He says while quickly getting up and grabbing his awesome king outfit. He quickly runs to his closet and changes. He runs back out quickly and is now ready.
"What was that about, Custard you said we could trust that you'll be ready!" Gumball says, hands thrown in the air.
Pancake joined in on the complaining, "Yeah what are you doing?! We gotta hurry before Sparkling and Herb wake up!"
"Whatever guys, let's just go already." Custard sighs.
They all climb back out the window and sneak out just as they did inside. Gumball has to help the other two due to their lack of skill.
They all start running as fast as they can all the way to Herb and Sparkling's house. Once they get there, Custard is absolutely winded and feels like passing out. Gumball ends up having to carry him on his back into the house.
It was about 10 A.M. when they settled in the house, and luckily the two husbands were still asleep.
"Well I guess we have time, but why are they still asleep? Like they're always waking up at like 8." Gumball questioned.
"I don't know, that is weird though. Maybe since today's Father's Day, they aren't planning on doing much." Custard thought out loud as he was laying on the ground.
Gumball and Pancake sit on the ground on either side of Custard. "Ok iPad kids, do y'all understand the plan for today? We absolutely have to make today awesome for Sparkling and Herb and I will fight you guys if you ruin it." Gumball threatened.
"Hmmm, no Gumball I actually forgot that too." Custard wonders.
Gumball facepalms as he says, "We make them breakfast today, right?"
"Yeah,"
"We'll leave that to Pancake. He seems like the best with breakfast food anyway."
"Yeah,"
"We have a video game session with them for a little bit,"
"Yeah,"
"After that we go out to the garden and all paint some pots. We'll also plant some cool looking flowers."
"Yeah,"
"And lastly, when night time hits, we all have a bonfire outside and enjoy each other's company. Sound good?"
Custard nods and says, "Oh yeahhhhh, I remember now! That sounds like so much fun, c'mon let's go wake em up!" as he quickly hops onto his feet.
Right before he started running, Gumball grabbed his cape. "No, Custard don't be stupid! We gotta let em sleep in, I realized that they work so hard every day and we always go wake them up too early."
Pancake nods. "Yeah he's right, I wanna help them have fun and lots of energy today!"
Gumball really wanted to make this day special, since Sparkling and Herb were really the only father figures he could ever imagine. He's usually so much more laid back, but not today. He can't screw this up.
"Pancake, can you go make them some breakfast? And some coffee for them?" Gumball asks.
"Umm yeah, duh of course I can! This'll be fun!"
Pancake skipped over to the kitchen and began his work while Gumball and Custard discussed what they wanted to do. "Can I at least go to their room to check on them? Pleeeeaaaase, I'm really curious!" Custard begged.
"Fine, but I wanna go too." Gumball said.
"Yes!"
They quietly walked down the hall to Sparkling and Herb's room. Custard was whispering "Tip toe, tip toe, tip toe," across the hall.
"Shhhhhh, you're being loud!" Gumball coherently whispered.
Custard rolled his eyes, but stopped anyway.
Once they made it to the room, Gumball lightly knocked on the door. No response. They slowly creaked the door open to reveal the two cookies cuddling with each other in their sleep. Apparently, Sparkling is such a light sleeper because as soon as Custard took one step, he rolled over to face them. He opened his eyes and was shocked to see them standing at the door.
"Gumball, Custard? When did you cookies get here?" He wondered.
"We came for you and Herb!" Custard said excited.
"Aw, you guys are too much." Sparkling said as he sat up in his bed. He looked over at Gumball, who seemed so excited yet so worried at the same time.
"You alright buddy?" Sparkling asked.
Gumball was stripped from his thoughts. "Oh, yeah, I'm great! Just really excited, ya know?"
Sparkling smiled, yet was concerned for Gumball. "Ok, but if there's anything you need to talk about, I'm all ears."
"Heh, yeah I know," Gumball chuckled. He didn't want Sparkling to worry about him, today's supposed to be him and Herb's day!
Herb groaned and slowly rolled over facing the other cookies. "Hmm Sparkling who are you- oh hey you guys! What are you doing?" He said as he also sat up in bed.
Just then, Pancake came in with two plates of scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. He also had coffee for each one of them. "Your meals have arrived, good sirs!" He proudly said.
"Oh my goodness, thank you so much guys!" Herb said as Pancake handed him his plate and cup. "C'mere you three!" He said to the children in his doorway and the one in the middle of the room. They all ran to his side if the bed and he gave them all a huge hug.
"Happy Father's Day, Herb! Custard said mid hug.
"Yeah Happy Father's Day!" Gumball and Pancake said right after.
They all went and hugged Sparkling too. This was a great way for the cookies to start their morning.
