He grabbed you by the waist you set you down on to the ground ever so gently.

"This your building?"

You nod, looking around at your surroundings, slightly disoriented. Hawks noticed and chuckled at the look on your face.

"First time being flown around by someone other than yourself?"

"Of course! Why would I need anyone else?"

Hawks scratches his neck and says, "Well... Maybe if you say, you were shot by a villain and were ordered to take it easy for a few days."

You sigh, "Come on, I want to go to sleep soon. I have work."

"But I already told you my agency would do the paper stuff."

"Yeah, but there is other things needing to be done around the office. I'm not usually the hero to go on patrols. As you can see from tonight. "

"No need to get snappy sweets. Just the doc said-"

"I don't care what the doctor said," you cut him off, "If I plan on paying them back I need to work double time."

"Doesn't your agency have insurance for things like this? By law I believe they are supposed to." He said, unfazed by your tone.

"Uh-"

"You should really be working at a better agency. Seems like your hard work isn't being paid enough. Nor should that hero have you on their team for you being so talented."

You blink in surprise, it wasn't normal to hear such words of encouragement. Your hard work being underpaid? You boss thought too much was being wasted on you. "Yeah well, you're the only one who thinks that."

"What? Really?" Now he was in surprise.

You guys finally started to the stairs. Your apartment was on the second to top floor so not to long to walk.

"Yeah, but I do have a question for you." His bush-y eyebrows raised in interest. "Why did you pick me to go on patrol?"

"Oh yeah, your quirk would really match the brand I'm going for."

"Wha-"

"Yeah, just think of it, I'm the wings, your the halo, together we're The Angel!"

You snicker at how dorky he looked saying that like it was a big break through in marketing.

"Awe man you don't like it?" Hawks put on a pouty, childish face.

"No, no its great."

Hawks gave a sideways smile that even you would never notice.

Soon you were at the door of your humble apartment. You pulled out your key and unlocked the door. The door squeaked open and you walked in. The overwhelming smell of something burning filled your nose. You panicked at what you saw.
