Yes, we must all know now about what happened. I'm sure we're all devastated and I've read plenty of author notes about taking a break from writing their Zayn Malik fan-fictions to last me a lifetime. Some are even discussing whether to delete their ZJM fanfics or not, though it's not logical.
Deleting our Zayn Malik fan-fictions is like deleting the inspiration he gave us to write it.
I've read a lot of AMAZING ones and, I've also been feeling shitty, but I didn't delete any fanfic. I haven't written only one one-shot about him but I still kept it to remind me of him and how he inspired me to write it.
And he inspired me to write Dear Zayn and express my feelings to him.
I didn't want to send it to Modest to somehow give it to him because I'm such a coward, but maybe someday I'll have the courage to send a few letters here and there. And I'll be damned if those letters didn't reach him. But for now, let's stick to the place where they allowed us to dream and imagine him in a different place, different life, different surroundings.
Doesn't mean if he quit the band we have to quit imagining and dreaming.
R.I.P to those who committed suicide because of this situation 🙏
