Gabriel loved silence, not a sound except slow melodies being played. It brought him back to the times when Emily was there with him. But now she wasn't here. And he would do anything to get her back.
"FATHER!" a voice echoed in the corridor.
Gabriel was started by the sudden sprang of anger. His son stormed in with a cross look on his face.
"What are you doing here? Didn't you ever learn to keep quiet for lord's sake?!" Gabriel said sternly.
Adrien took a deep breath, knowing that his anger is nothing compared to that of his father.
"Father why-???" he said.
"WHY WHAT!" spat Gabriel.
"Why would you! WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT!" Adrien continued gently, his voice raising a bit, "why would you hurt innocent slaves!"
"You went outside didn't you," Gabriel said pointedly.
Adrien opened his mouth to speak but nothing came, for he had nothing to say.
"This is the last time I warn you, Adrien... if I find out that you have escaped yet again, you see what will happen." His father said sternly.
Adrien hung his head and began leaving the room.
"Not so fast! As a punishment, you will be grounded from visiting any place without Nathalie around!" His father said.
"Yes father," Adrien said meekly as Nathalie took him away.

"If I were you, I'd never do that," Nino said as he played with Adrien's fruits. Adrien had just finished telling Nino about his day and how he was grounded for like, the rest of his life. Nino was a great listener. He was a regular visitor at the palace but he wasn't allowed to go to any room except Adrien's. Adrien was so happy to have him as his friend.
"I know but..." Adrien started but was interrupted by Nathalie.
"Nino he's grounded," she said, "time to go"
"Byee Adrien!" Nino said leaving.
Nathalie shut the room door behind him. She sat next to Adrien and held his shoulder.
"Nathalie"
"Yes, Adrien"
"Why does Dad hate me?"
Nathalie went silent. "He doesn't hate you, he loves you," she said softly.
"Then why would he lock me here"
She went silent once again.
"If he loved me then why lock me?" Adrien asked again.
"For your own safety," she said, "now enough with the questions. it's your bedtime and you don't want to get into more trouble with your dad do you?"
"no..."
"Then bed!" She said sternly, closing the light and leaving.
"Why did his father lock him?"
Well, he wanted to make him happy but he just couldn't let Adrien have his dreams. They could lead to him losing his son too. And he didn't want that. He wanted to protect his only son.
"If I was him..."
Ahaha first story then we'll discuss the 'If I was him'

"Adrien is getting on my nerve nowadays," Gabriel told Nathalie.
"He's just a kid," Nathalie said, "why don't you give him a chance to explore?"
"That's too much risk"
Gabriel sat down, this fingers messaging his eyebrows.
"Gabriel, what about the war?"
"Well, I don't know."
Nathalie clapped her hands and a few clouds came together producing a square frame. the picture within was a map of the above world. On one side was a shade of bright yellow, marking their reign. On the other side there was a blue shade and a small shade of red in the middle.
"We have got peace with the Shanghai Kingdom and others, only two powerful kingdoms left are the Tursurgi kingdom and the Cheng Kingdom. Since the Cheng kingdom rejected our treaties, it leads to war with them. However, I found a way to get the Tursugi Kingdom on our side." Nathalie explained.
"Tell me about it and don't disappoint me," Gabrielle said.
"Yes sir, I won't. If we could get Princess Kagami from the Tursugi Kingdom to marry Adrien then we will be in a safe relationship with them."
"Perfect. What about the Cheng Kingdom. Other then war is there an option?" Gabriel asked
"Well, according to the philosophy... it's the second male in the whole family descendants. His name is Marino. He won't be any use to us"
"Marino hmm..."
"Sir, what if Adrien doesn't agree to marry Kagami?" Nathalie asked.
"He'll have to! He knows what's good for our country"
Gabriel looked outside the castle's window.
"Have you told Adrien about the war yet?"
"Not yet sir..." Nathalie said meekly
"Then tell! He is not a kid anymore Nathalie"
"I know sir," she said.
"I shall be off now, make sure to tell Adrien about the war and about him getting married. Don't forget to set up an engagement with him and Kagami. And make sure he doesn't make a bad impression. Tursugi Kingdom is the best when it comes to war and with it, on our side, we can easily take over the Chang Kingdom. I need that jewel. And if they aren't going to hand it over, they'll get the worse."
"With the jewel, you can become one of the most powerful gods in ancient history. There will be many worshipping your name and you'll get her back. It's your only chance and I'll make sure everything is done the way it should sir. Don't worry, this time we're going to win and not even Marino Chang can defeat us." Nathalie continued with a smirk
"Yes! Now I've got to go Nathalie"
"Dream about victory," Nathalie said.
"I will"
