Mobius leads Loki and Jane back to the interrogation room, and Loki never takes his eyes off of the man. He doesn't trust him for a moment. His smile and that carefree attitude may have Jane fooled, but Loki knows there's something far more sinister at play. He's not dropping his guard now.
Mobius holds the door open for them, and immediately, Loki gets a face full of bad memories. He rolls his eyes and looks away. He's seen enough of the Avengers today. He doesn't need to stare at their battle pose.
Meanwhile, Jane does nothing but stare at it. "What is that?"
"Oh, that?" Mobius lets the door swing closed and takes his seat at the table behind the projector. "It's all of Loki's greatest hits, rolled into one for our viewing pleasure."
Loki crosses his arms and leans against the wall. "It's fake. Everything beyond this point you made up just to get a reaction."
"I wish that were true," Mobius says, and the sympathy in his voice almost sounds real, but Loki knows he's lying. "I wish I could tell you that your mother —"
"You don't know anything about my mother," Loki snaps.
Mobius puts his hands up, a silent surrender before he looks up at Jane. "You're from 2013, you said?"
She nods.
"So you went to the Dark World with Loki," Mobius surmises.
"And Thor, yeah," she says. "Why?"
Mobius turns his attention back to the projector and skims through various memories. "Tell me if any of this looks familiar."
Loki rolls his eyes.
The scene is set. Loki stands alone with Thor, and though the latter appears stoic, Loki seems unbothered by whatever worries his brother. They stand in silence, the tension thick between them.
The soft click-clacking of footsteps announces Sif and Jane's arrival before the screen shows them. This must be Asgard, then, if Sif is there as well. It begs the question, though, why is Jane in Asgard?
"You're —" Jane cuts herself off, changing course from Thor to Loki by his side.
"Loki," he says. "You may have heard of —"
Jane slaps him across the face, throwing his head to the side. "That was for New York."
Loki raises an eyebrow and looks over at her. "'Allies,' you said?"
Jane shrugs sheepishly.
On the screen, Loki just looks down at her, an approving smile on his lips. He shifts his gaze to Thor. "I like her."
Mobius returns to skimming through footage, but he speaks as he searches. "That was your first meeting. Short and sweet."
"What are we doing?" Loki asks. A slap in the face isn't much in the way of context. He gets those frequently.
"Same thing you're always doing," Mobius says. "Cooking up a plan and looking for revenge."
"Against whom?" Loki asks. "Thor?"
Mobius chuckles and shakes his head. "No, you and Thor are actually working together on this one. You're going after the Dark Elves."
Loki's expression darkens.
Mobius is as cheerful as ever. "Let's keep going!" As an aside, he adds, "I love this part."
Thor is randomly hitting buttons, proving once again that he is the epitome of intelligence. Loki stands behind him on one side, Jane on the other while they watch.
