Alisa's POV:
I was falling. Down, down, down through the darkness. I couldn't see a thing. I don't know how long I've been falling, or how far away I am from the ground.
----------
Inger's POV:
"Inger"
I turn just in time to see Alisa collapse as well. No no no no no this cannot be happening. I thought we were done with people spontaneously collapsing. I can't breathe, I feel like I'm suffocating. It's like my throat it filling with sand.
Stop it. This isn't going to help them.
I take a shaky breath and try to enter Ivy's mind but I can't. I try again but it's not working. I can't help her. I can't do anything. Why can't I get in? I feel pressure building up in my throat until I can't stand it any more and let out a scream.
----------
Alisa's POV:
Below me the darkness cleared and a blurry outline appeared. As I get closer I realise it's some sort of... castle. It was covered in ivy and part of one of the walls had fallen in, like it had been abandoned for centuries.
The closer I get the more familiar it seems. The shape of the entrance. The steps on the side. The hole in the garden which seemed to be the size of a grave.
Wait.
I know that hole. That's where the spark showed me Dracula awakening months ago. Which meant those steps led up to Elisabetha's grave. Which means this is Dracula's castle.
And I'm falling straight towards it.
----------
Inger's POV:
Hindrik and Karen rushed in.
"Inger what happened?"
"I- I don't know. The crack- Ivy- Alisa- Can't get in- Don't know- Can't help-"
Karen came over and put her hands on my shoulders, "Inger stop. Breathe in. Breathe out. Now, slowly, tell us what happened."
I took a few shaky breaths, "The crack went all grey and black. Ivy tried to connect with mother nature. She said it wasn't working but then she collapsed. Then Alisa collapsed as well and I don't know why. I can't get into Ivy's head. I don't know what's happening to them. I can't help them!"
----------
Alisa's POV:
I landed on the ground with a thump. For a moment all the air left my lungs before coming crashing back again, forcing a gasp out of me. The spark never did this. I never felt anything when it showed me something. I was just observing, like a ghost.
I pushed myself off the ground, brushing the dirt off my nightgown. I don't know where I've fallen exactly, only that I'm somewhere outside the castle. I could just about see a tower jutting out from above the trees. Ok so I'm near a corner, really narrows it down.

An Heirs Of The Night Fanfic
FanfictionHi, I saw there were not many heirs of the night fanfictions so I decided I would write one myself. This is my first time writing down / showing people a story I came up with so don't be too harsh. Please note my writing definitely gets better later...
