Jayson is one of the reasons I breathe and keep alive today, he was like my second chance in life. Mr. Jayson Rodrigues, 20 years of age, is one of perfect height that enthusiasm he has in working out at the gym has earned him that smooth muscular toned body that he goes about with. Originally from Dublin but moved down here a few years back due to his own personal issues, and in search for change. One would never say he were from Ireland, with killer features like his soft textured sandy colored hair, his deep hazel eyes that one could drown in when trying to read into them and that beautiful jawline that becomes outlined with his oh so rare smile that could set the universe and beyond alight. He is simply amazing. He may not be seen as all that grand to anyone but in my eyes he’s perfect. It’s hard to still he’s all mine despite the fact that he was such a player in the past. I must have done something right in my life.
Sitting in an elegant restaurant on our reserved seats that’s outside the restaurant overlooking the sea and the city. The view from here is breathe taking, “You seem lost in thought” Jayson says in a very calm relaxed tone, as he reaches out to touch my hand. “Sorry” I say slightly blushing. He smiles his beautiful smile and I smile back at him, our eyes connected for a while until our waiter for the evening stood beside us and cleared his throat to get our attention, his hand that felt so warm and comforting slipped away from mine.
After scanning the menu for a while our orders was placed, dinner was served and soon after dessert while waiting for dessert in the midst of our conversation, of me returning to campus and him being excited and nervous for me all at once, he gets serious and his smile disappear; “I need to tell you something important”. Looking into his eyes that was now hard to read. “What is it Jay?” Looking deep into my eyes and without hesitating he says; “I love you”. My heart skips a beat, “I love you Lauren”.
My heart keeps skipping at such a rate it could be compared to a ticking bomb on the verge of explosion. For as long as Jayson and I have been dating, which would be for a year 3 months and a week to be precise. As many Romantic loving things he’s ever told me he’s never said the most beautiful 3 words that could change one’s life. So this did come to me unexpectedly. He was always so messed up with hard-core intoxication and girls at all times that he never really needed to tell anyone he loved them, for the relationship hadn’t lasted that long. “Lauren?”, “Yes” I replied barely in a whisper. “Please don’t take this in any weird way or anything, but I want to make a commitment, that I’m here for you now and forever and I’m in love with you and I’m not in the business of denying myself the simple pleasure of saying true things and the fact that I finally know what I want and that itself is a miracle”. I couldn’t help but let out a few tear drops of mixed emotions, he brings his seat closer to me and took hold of my hands in his as he wipes away my tears, I laugh halfheartedly. “I got something for you” he says as he reaches into his jeans pocket to retrieve a little black box. The moment I set eyes on it I knew exactly what it contained.
I was about to say something but I remain speechless, so he spoke “You don’t have to answer me right now, I can wait, because somethings in life are worth the wait even if it’s for eternal” smiling through the tears I reach my shaky hand out for him, And he places the most simple yet stunning 3 carrot ring I’ve ever set my eyes on. Just then our dessert is served a beautifully decorated lindt fondue. I hold my hand out infront of me and spread my fingers apart to have a good look at it, my heart melts. As soon as I get home tonight I have to call my friends and tell them the great news! I smile shyly and my cheeks blush as I felt Jayson and the waiter’s eyes on me, the waiter takes a slight bow, congratulates me then turns to walk away. Jayson smiles smugly then chuckles as he comes forward to steal a kiss. After hours of celebrating, dancing and eating, my amazing evening had to take its leave. And I had to be on my way home. Jayson, being the gentleman that he is insisting on personally driving me home. He makes his way to the passenger’s side of his blue GTI to open the door for me with a smile.
I couldn’t take my eyes of my ring and for some awkward reason Jayson couldn’t take his eyes off me despite the fact that he mentioned I look gorgeous many times this evening. He keeps turning to look at me smiling his amazing smile that takes my breath away and our eyes connect for a while until realization hit, I turned to a bright light that was almost blinding. “JAYSON!!!”
