Ashley's POV

I woke up the next morning, having a slight headache from the half a bottle of wine I drank the night before and hearing a muffled sound of a phone ringing somewhere. I sat up slightly, rubbing my head before looking over at my phone, figuring that it was mine. I had completely forgot about the fact that Cheryl was in my bed, before suddenly getting the shock of my life when I heard her quiet Geordie voice go,

“Hello?”

“Jesus.” I gasped, turning over straight away. She was awake, and I was slightly confused. It was then that everything started coming back to me - I’d drank quite a bit of wine the night before after I come back in, and then Cheryl had come to my room in the middle of the night looking upset. I glanced at her; she didn’t really notice as she was on the phone. She looked okay now; she had her lips pouted and was just talking to whoever it was on the other end.

A couple minutes later, she was off the phone and finally turned to me, smiling slightly. I smiled back at her.

“Erm, is everything okay?” I asked. She nodded.

“Thanks for letting me sleep here last night; but I suppose I best get back. Thank you; you’re a nice friend, Ashley.” she told me. She then leaned over and gave me a huge hug, making me smile and peck her cheek.

“Right, well I’ll see you at work later.” I told her. She nodded before getting out of bed and grabbing her things. She went into the bathroom and quickly changed, and it wasn’t long before I heard the door to the room close. I sighed out, rubbing my hands over my face.

Work with a hangover and having to deal with the fact that me and Cheryl slept in the same bed last night? Long day ahead without a doubt...

I waved to the crowd as I walked into the venue after arriving at X-Factor, having opted for a white dress with thin black stripes covering it. I teamed my look with some white heels, and some daring burgundy lipstick. I clipped the front parts of my hair back and left the rest of it flowing down my back and around my shoulders and of course, my oversize sunglasses were right over my face. Once I got inside with my bag, I went straight to my dressing room and tossed it aside before taking my sunglasses off.

“Morning Ashley!”

I turned; there was Mel B standing in my dressing room doorway. I smiled, wandering over to her.

“Morning.” I smiled, linking my arm through hers.

“You alright yeah? You’re looking slightly rough.” she winked. I smirked, smacking her arm.

“I’m fine thank you; just had too much wine last night.” I told her, making her start laughing as we made our way into the judges lounge.

And as soon as I walked in, there she was. Dressed in some black skinny jeans, a white vest top and white sleeveless jacket, as well as some white and black heels - she looked amazing. Her curly hair was tumbling in loose waves over her shoulders; she had on some bubblegum pink lipstick.

And I was staring right at her lips..

..Jesus I’m such a loser...
