18. I don't wanna go...

M/n had been living with the Newgates for a little under a month now, and things started to be turning up for him. He'd wake up fairly late though, not exactly used to the new and extremely comfy bed. That just happened to be one of those days, M/n was sleeping in once again. Ace was astonished at how Long M/n could sleep in for. Though it was normal now, the Family had been extremely happy that M/n had decided to join the family.

M/n had woken up hours ago in reality, he just hadn't left his room. His hair was up, Shirt off, Shorts on. It had gotten very hot out, Which M/n was thankful for because he was now no longer at risk of Frostbite but instead Heatstroke. M/n heard the rumbling of a car pull up, Getting up and looking out the window he saw a familiar Black SUV. Slipping a shirt on quickly he bolted out of his room.

The family jumped at the loud sound of a door being slammed open. Though the Loud cursing and Sounds of someone falling down the stairs was hysterical. M/n burst out the front door.

"MILO!" He shouted, Tackling the blonde

"FuCK!" Milo shouted, falling to the ground.

Mihawk just shook his head with a small grin, it soon fading and turning into his usual frown but...It seemed worried. Mihawk made his way over to the heads of the Newgate household, Whispering something to them before heading inside.

"M/n... We need to talk..." Milo murmured "Somewhere private..."

M/n knew that face all too well. Something was wrong and it had something to do with him. Nodding he led Milo into the woods, making sure no one followed...

Milo and M/n sat near the engraved rock. The silence consuming the air.

" Your mom is back in the city..." Milo whispered

The stick in M/ns hand snapped in half, Falling to the ground as a pile of ash. Not a single piece of the stick actually left whole.

"She had a little boy with her... meaning she hasn't kicked Toby out yet... I'm afraid you might be in some sort of Danger... Though dad knows something I don't and he won't tell me..." 

M/n stayed silent, gritting his teeth. Of course, Just as things were turning up for him and he was just figuring out what it was like to have a family that cared again... It had to be turned upside down.

Milo saw how there were small flickers of electricity surrounding M/n. Usually, he'd give him a hug but something felt off.

Milo finally felt the hairs on the back of his neck rise, a Metallic taste filling his mouth, The smell of chlorine... Milo bolted up from his seat and started to run. Getting about 40-ish yards away before he Heard The crackling Boom sound from behind him, A gust of wind hit him, sending him to the ground. Safe to say anyone in a 20-mile radius Heard and Saw it. Milo sat on the ground, using his hands to support him, It was a Sunny day, Not a cloud in the sky... This would make suspicions arise for people.

Looking up once he felt the first drop of rain he noticed how storm clouds started rolling in. Running back towards M/n he saw a man dressed in a suit holding M/ns shoulder. Milo heaved for air, Thankful that Dragon-san had covered up the sudden burst of lightning. Milo saw M/n, M/n still had lightning surrounding him, Much stronger than before. Dragon turned to Milo.

"Go back to the House, Now. Tell Mr. Newgate what happened." Dragon ordered Milo. Milo nodded Sprinting back to the house where everyone was huddled inside looking out the windows. 

By this time Milo was soaked, Bursting through the front door.

"Wheres M/n?" Thatch asked immediately

"U-Hmm... SO M/nspowersareactinguprightnowandDragon-sanismakingitrainsonoonegetssuspiciousofallofthelightningandm/n'spowersareoutofcontrolandIalmostgothitbylightningand-....and..." Milo tried to spit it all out at once.

"Say it slower Milo, What's going on." Mihawk knelt in front of Milo

"M/ns... Uhm Powers are acting up and Dragon-san is with him and- and Dragon-san is covering up all of the Lightning-" Just as Milo said lightning another even stronger burst came from where M/n was at in the forest. The windows in the house shook

"What did you tell him."

"I told him his mom was back in the City with Toby..." Milo murmured... "He Deserved to know! He's been looking for his little brother for ages and I know for a fact had I not told him He'd end up running straight into that Devil of a Woman!" Milo defended his actions.

Marco threw his coat on, "I'll be back, Pops I'm gonna need you to come with... Someone call Katakuri-yoi..." Marco hated the thought of having to get him involved but besides Luffy, he was one of the only other people who could possibly withstand the lightning... Luffy burst from the Kitchen.

"I'm coming with!" Luffy yelled

"No, You aren't Yoi." Marco snapped, Luffy flinched

"Yes, I am!"

"Luffy. This isn't something for Kids, You're staying here-yoi! I'm in no mood to argue with you!" Marco was on edge, he wasn't sure if he'd be able to get M/n under control. He had only seen him use his powers once or twice...

Marco had phoenix Fire surrounding him, keeping himself safe-ish from the bursts. Dragon was taking it like a champ. While Lidia was afraid of what this would do to M/ns body... already knowing that too much of his power hurt him. Pops was furious, If only saying his mother was in town triggered this kind of reaction he wasn't sure how he would tell M/n...

M/n was huddled in on himself, reliving the awful memories of that woman. Katakuri was waiting patiently to get his chance to get near M/n, The boy somehow seemed familiar to the hot pink-haired man. Though he brushed it off, Out of nowhere a small blur rushed past all of the adults. Clinging straight onto M/n.

"Luffy! SToP-" Ace shouted almost being thrown backwards by another burst of lightning, Eyes widened as they realized that Luffy was now clinging on to M/n... Though sparks started to die out, The metallic taste faded. M/ns body was shaking tears pooling down his cheeks... M/n gripped Luffy's back, Returning the hug. Balling his eyes out.

"don't make me go back...please..." M/n whispered repeatedly, practically begging the family.

Marco gritted his teeth, It seems they didn't even have to tell M/n the news. Marco walked over calmly,

"That's why we called Dragon-yoi. He's an amazing lawyer, He's going to help us keep you... But for now... There's nothing we can do..." Marco whispered

"You need evidence don't you," M/n mumbled

Dragon sighed, "Yes... Though once I have that... That's all I'll need." Dragon hummed with a smile

"I'll go back under one condition... Toby comes back with me... Let me take him from that evil woman..." M/n still had red Puffy eyes

Lidia growled, "If she so much as puts a hand on you! You call me and I'll Golpea a esa mujer a golpes de luz, tanto que no vivirá para ver otro día en su lamentable Vida!"

Pops shook his head, Laughing.

"Lad. We'll make sure you come back in no time at all..." Pops did not! Like the Idea of sending M/n back with Ms Chevotet. That woman was known for being the Devils Whore...
