Aoyama x Momo

-Momo P.O.V.-

Why did I forget to put my diary away around Mina? I look down in embarrassment, my cheeks hot.

"You like Aoyama?!" Mina asks, holding my diary. Her face is of total shock.

"Yes." I say shyly. "Can I have my diary back?"

"Oops. I didn't realize I still had it." She hands it back to me. I'm amazed she gave it back... I thought I'd have to pry it from her hands, judging the way she is sometimes...

"You and Aoyama! So unexpected! Me and Hagakure thought it'd be Todoroki!"

I look up at her. "What do you mean by that?"

"It's called the 'Simps and Ships Club'. Me and Hagakure are exclusive members. And the only members. Would you like to join?" She says with a smirk. They seriously have a club for that? Don't we have things like studying to do?

"Um, no thanks." I say with an awkward smile. "You won't tell anyone, right?" I ask pleadingly.

"No promises." She says with a mischievous smile. "But there's more of a chance if you give me all the details!"

This is just her way to get more tea, isn't it... There's really no escape, though.

"Sure... Would you like to sit down again?" I lead her to the bed, gesturing for her to sit.

"Sooooo, how long have you liked him?"

"A few months. I think longer, but I didn't realize." I cringe at all the embarrassment. It's scary to say these things out loud. And to Mina.

"How come you never talk to him?"

"Because I'm scared! What if he finds out and doesn't like me back? I'd rather just observe from afar and fantasize!"

"Momo? Backing away from a challenge? That's not very hero like of you... " she says teasingly. I look up at her surprised.

"Huh?"

"You need to confess! Get your feelings out there! Class 1-A is holding a Halloween party! You could bring him as your date!"

"If he actually liked me... " I mumble.

"You'll feel better. Then you can just enjoy being around him when you have it out of the way! And if you don't I'll tell about- "

"Okay, fine! I'll confess. I guess it would be better to have it done with." I say, sighing. I guess this is Mina's twisted way of helping me.

--- A few days later ---

Okay... You can do this, Yao-momo. Just hand it to him and say it. "Actually I really like you Aoyama, so I was wondering if you'd be my date to the Halloween dance?" Easy, simple.

I arrive at his dorm, and knock on the door. I hear footsteps shuffling, and the door begins opening. I take a deep breath before he answers.

"Yes, Mademoiselle?"

I get all jittery, and the hands that hold the card I made for him are sweaty. I look down at the card.

Why did I make him a card? It's so childish and cheesy. ...Too late now though. I've got to do it!

"Um, well, I uh, really like you, Aoyama, so I made a card for you... Um, that's all... "

I hand the card to him. The card has his name in purple glitter on the front, standing out on a lacy black background. Inside it says: "Dear Aoyama: I like you romantically. I've felt this way for a while. Would you like to go to the Halloween party as my date? If you don't feel the same way, I respect that, and I'd like to remain close. Sincerely: Yaoyorozu Momo." I look at the little halloween stickers I stuck on the inside of the card. His face is black as he reads it.

So childish...

"I have a question to ask you, as well. Walk through here, my lady!" He says, moving out of the door.

I step in, feeling less nervous now that he didn't flat out reject me. I look around his room, with almost every surface shining.

He looks at me, and takes my hands into his. He seems much more serious than usual, which makes me feel more calm and not freak out about how we're holding hands.

"I knew that you felt this way. I also feel this way. That's why I'd like to ask you: will you be my date to the Halloween dance?" He gets down on his knees, looking up at me dramatically.

"W-What?" Of all the things to happen, I did not expect that. "I- I'd love to!" I say determinedly. A huge smile breaks out on my face.

He said yes! I'm going on a date with my crush!

"Marvelous! Together, we'll be the brightest, most shining couple there!"

I nod after a few seconds, not used to his quick, excited energy yet.

--- The Halloween Party ---

Me and Aoyama slowly glide around the room as we dance to a slower song. I look into his eyes, and he looks into mine. It's just us, no one else.

"Aoyama... "

"Yes?"

"Why do you like me?"

"You shine the brightest, darling. The most smarts, the kindest heart, and the best looks next to mine! Why must you even question your twinkling?"

I blush at his response. He really thinks all that about me?

"U- uh Thank you." I say quietly. I break eye contact, too shy to keep looking into his deep eyes.

"What do you have to say about me?"

"W- huh? U- um... " I look at him, and close my eyes determinedly to keep going. I want him to know, right? There's nothing to lose, Yao-momo.

"Well, it's just, you're always so confident and energetic. Having that confidence... I really admire you for it since I don't have much myself. It's always fun to be around you. You make life feel like a party or some fun club! I... want to be at that party with you. I want to be in the club." I finish this last line with resolve, but still a smile. I want to be good to you. I want to show you how much I love you.

"I'm flattered by your remarks. Perhaps now we kiss?" He brings his face closer to mine. I lean into him, and our lips meet.
