Priya's POV

"GUDIYA!"

Our lips were about to meet when we heard Earth shuddering sound that flinched us at our respective places. The tomato I was holding slipped from my hand and rolled towards Bhai, stopping at the tip of his shoe.

Oh my God, I am so dead!

"Bh- Bhai!" I stuttered.

He marched towards us, his palms balled into tight fists, his eyes were bloodshot red, his lips pressed tightly into a thin line and his nose was flaring in pure rage.

I have heard about his anger but have never seen him so much enraged because he has always treated me sweetly.

He grabbed my arm tightly and pulled me back roughly, I gasped as my body jerked and I got a sprain in my neck.

"What the hell is going on?" His voice boomed and pierced my eardrums while Rishi became the victim of his anger.

"Bh- Bhai, I could expl..."

"Shut up Priya!"

His head snapped to me and I flinched. The thing that clenched my heart was that he called me by my name when he has never used it. He always calls me Gudiya no matter how worst his mood is.

"Mujhe tujhse ye ummeed bilkul bhi nahi thi (I was not expecting this from you!)"

I looked down, not able to meet his burning gaze. He has never scolded me like this ever before.

"At least, listen to us!" Rishi interrupted.

Bhai's head snapped towards him.

"Tu to apna muh hi mat khol (Don't even dare to open your mouth!)"

I hissed in pain as Bhai's hold on my arm tightened. It seems like he was taking out the anger of Rishi on me.

"Stop hurting her, please!" Rishi requested seriously.

"So now you will tell me how should I treat my sister, Huh?" Bhai freed my arm from his deathly clutches and pushed Rishi by his shoulder "Kisi aur kai ID card pr Paper dene aaya tu! Huh? (The one who gave exam on Identity Card of someone else!)" He pushed him again.

"Identity card kisi ka bhi ho, par pass to mai hi hua bhaiyaji (No matter whose Identity Card it is, I am the one who has passed the exam)" Rishi defended himself but Bhai was not in a mood to listen.

I gasped in shock when Bhai punched Rishi's face brutally. This was the thing for which I was scared. I knew that Bhai will never understand us, he will never say yes to the love marriage.

"Bhai please, don't" I requested which went into deaf ears.

He started beating Rishi black and blue. Punches after punches were landing on Rishi's face and stomach as if he is a punching bag.

Rishi on his part was not even trying to defend himself. He was taking Bhai's blows as if it is his duty.

After taking every blow he was looking at me with a gentle smile on his lips as if I was giving him the strength to endure the pain.

The way his palms were curled into tight fists was clearly showing that he is trying his best to control himself. He doesn't want to fight back just because he is my brother.

"Stop it, Bhai!" I yelled when it became unbearable for me to see Rishi in such a situation.

"Please!" I tried to pull bhai back but he was too heavy to even move.
