everyday, san and wooyoung would make morning coffee or tea together before going off to work. they left the two customized mugs in the sink and wash it when they're back home

san and wooyoung had been in a relationship for nearly six years and got their permission from their parents to live with each other after two years of dating

san was a barista and wooyoung was a florist just across from san's workplace. every morning, san would come inside the flower shop and dressed as an old man but with fancy sunglasses and bought some flowers that ended up in wooyoung's hands

everytime wooyoung was on break, he would tell the other florist that he's going to the cafe nearby and he would tell san's manager to give san some free time so both could drink and eat together

if san had a day off, he would help wooyoung at the flower shop; either arranging the flower on the vases or volunteered himself on taking requests of customers' designed bouquet and thankfully they loved it

and if wooyoung had a day off, he always wanted to help san in the cafe by telling the manager that he'll be the cleaner. wooyoung never wanted to get paid by the cafe but the manager was a kind-hearted person so wooyoung gets it anyway. wooyoung just wanted to be in san's company and san was fine with it

there's a time both had their workplace closed for a whole month, wooyoung decided to go somewhere. "san-ah, do you want to go to uncle im's workplace? i heard there were so many cool things there"

"but boo, isn't that a tattoo parlor?" san confusingly asked, scratching the back of his head. "and yeah, sure, if you wanna go there. i'm tired staying at home all day" he answered, received a tackle from the other

that's how san and wooyoung got the tattoo just above their knees. amicus ad aras. wooyoung found it from the internet

after days passed, their shops were open again; more customers were complaining that they couldn't have the amazing drinks they got from the cafe and couldn't have the fresh flowers from the flower shop

same things happened everyday, san going to wooyoung and wooyoung going to san.

the workers in the cafe was in a jolly and bright mood so they put on some songs from their own phone.

"hey, this song is good. what's the title?" san commented as he untied his apron and hang it on its own hanger before going to sit with wooyoung

"the one that got away by katy perry. give it a listen, it's amazing!" the worker told him and san thanked him after

he sat across from wooyoung, "woo, this song. save it in your phone so we could jam together" wooyoung just nodded, agreeing

a mistake both did was not understanding the lyrics and kept jamming to the music and beats of the song.

that day, wooyoung got off work early than usual but he didn't tell san anything. he wanted to surprise san with a bouquet that he made; his first ever bouquet made by himself

san noticed wooyoung was going to the cafe since the upper part of the glass was uncovered and the counter's ground was more higher than the cafe's entire ground

smiling, he proceeded to make a customer's order when he heard a loud crash. he dropped the cup he's holding and dashed outside, not caring about anyone or anything

wooyoung was hit, a bouquet of daisies by his side

today, he made a glass of his morning coffee with his mug, wooyoung's mug was in the center of the table peacefully resting there

youngie ꨄ︎

it was wooyoung's name that san once painted a random background and attempted to add a name on it; thankfully, it came out beautiful

he had his day off so he went to the flower shop but not to do some work, instead, he approached the counter and placed a five dollar down. "daisies please. as much as this five dollar could get"

after, san arrived at the cemetery and spotted wooyoung's father, mother and little brother. both mr and mrs smiled at him sadly. it's been four years already and san never stopped visiting wooyoung's grave every week.

"sani, are those flowers for wooyoungie? it's so pretty!!"

the three other than wooyoung's brother laughed and went silent again, nodding at san to do what he always do

so san placed the flowers in his hands near the gravestone. "got you daisies again today. you're doing well there, right woo? we'll come here again next week" he whispered as he ran his hand across it

looking up while tears were brimming in his eyes, he saw a figure waving at him by the tree

wooyoung

"sani, sani! isn't that wooyoungie? woaa, he's glowing!" the kid shook san's arm making him stand up.

san smiled at the kid. "yeah, that's him. go there, he's calling you, kyungmin-ah" san stated, guiding kyungmin to make his way to wooyoung

"but... isn't he gonna call you? it's been long since you two met"

the thing was san couldn't get near him or he'll go back in no time

--

going back home, he hummed a random melody; happy as he saw wooyoung even though it was just his (and kyungmin's) seeings, until a song title showed up in his mind

going to where wooyoung saved the sing in his phone, playing it and went to search for the lyrics

"Talk about our future like we had a clue
Never planned that one day I'd be losing you..."

there, he finally understand what the song was actually meant for

"In another life
I would make you stay
So I don't have to say you were the one that got away"
