Cleo

I made my return to Blackburn. The first thing I did was meet with the town realtor, Kylie Mack. I recognized her last name as one of the founding families. We had been in contact since yesterday but I wanted to fast track my moving in. So I decided to show up to her office once I came to town.

I pulled into the parking lot, parking my shiny bmw right near the front door of the office building. I got out of the car and walked to the door. Today I was dressed in a black body suit with a black jean jacket over it paired with some black vans. My hair was up in a bun, the best I could do considering how long my hair was. My jewlery was simple, necklace, stud earrings and one diamond bracelet.

There was a woman at the front desk wearing a black skirt suit with her hair in very tight curls. She looked a little older. She sat there filing her nails as I approached the desk. She knew I was there but waited for me to speak first. "I'm here to see Kylie Mack." I said to her, watching her response.

"The intern application deadline has already passed. We are no longer accepting them." The lady said to me with an annoyed tone. She barely even looked at me as she talked to me. Her main focus were those thin nails.

"Im not an intern, I'm here to buy a house." I responded, still waiting for her to look up at me. In usual situations I don't use my powers but today was a different day. I mentally reached into her private thoughts. She was worried about her husband's affair with Diana Hall, town anchor woman. She was worried about her reputation and marriage. She was also worried that she wasn't as attractive anymore. Her head was full of insecurities. I bypassed all of these thoughts and focused her mind on doing what I wanted her to do.

Almost instantly she cheered up and dialed the buzzer to her boss' office. Moments later the Kylie Mack emerged from the office door. She smiled as soon as she saw me.

"Hey Cleo!" She greeted opening her arms for a hug. I wasn't big on hugs and before I could ease my way out of it she embraced me. A sudden feeling flushed through me and I became very familiar with her.

My powers do this thing where if I touch someone I know their whole life. Like I get a quick flash of everything up until the moment we made contact. It was different than me hearing their thoughts. I saw things maybe some people are suppressing and very low moments in their lives. I could turn it off for the most part if I really focused. But Kylie caught me off guard today.

Her life was bland, and she hated it. I wondered how she could be so cheery if she was so unhappy.

I brushed the thought off, focusing on my goal here. "I'm here to buy a house. I need to move in ASAP." I said to her seriously.

"Well.. let me check my schedule for today and we'll make something happen." She responded, not sounding very promising. I had to reach into her thoughts too. Kylie quickly changed her mind, "I have a nice house in mind. Follow me and I'll show you the property." She said with more enthusiasm. I agreed and waiting for her to gather her belongings.

Kylie drove a simple Toyota mom car. I knew she had three kids: two boys Wilson and Mason with one girl Kennedy. The two oldest were Mason and then Kennedy, they went to high school. Kylie was a responsible mother too. She drove the speed limit. She was on the parent teacher counsel and she was a member of the church community. There was so much pride in all her endeavors. Not a slither of darkness in her life.

The house was beautiful, I knew I wanted it before we went inside. The house had many rooms, the main bedroom was amazing. There were many balconies all over the house including off the kitchen and the bedroom. There was a special room for me to do my painting. This spot even felt familiar, like maybe my family lived here before me.

I signed the papers and sent Kylie on her way. The next few days I was decorating the house. I was able to get so much done in the few short days I was there. My liquor supply was quality, just how I liked it.

I even decided to go to the high school. Maybe the answer to my problem was Mia Calloway. She was the youngest Calloway witch I could reach. I figured the coven knew where Violet was and how to get her back. Mia also went to the high school. My powers didn't exactly work on some witches and definitely not on the Calloway Coven. So I had to find other ways to get her on my side. Starting at school would be the best option.

I also found out Isabella and Sage live here in Blackburn. I haven't spoken to them in so long so I decided to pay them a visit. In my own way, I would find a way to bring everyone back together soon.
