I walked out of the cafe, holding my normal morning drink, a hot coffee with sugar and milk. I had stopped by a crosswalk when I felt it. The back of my neck, where my mark is, started to tingle. Then I saw him. It was only a picture in my mind, but it was him. 'How could I have forgotten....' I shook my head and made my way home. It had been two years and not a word.

Once I got home, I was sitting in my room, when I heard a knock on the front door. Beings that my mom was at work, and my sister was at school, I was home alone. I answered the front door, and there he was. "Lukas?"
"Jasper..." he had a soft, sad smile on his face.
I took a step back and closed the door. "Go."
"Jasper, please...."
"No- you left me..."
"Please, I had to....just open the door and we can talk"
I sighed and opened the door, "what"
"...I am one of them." He said, and I noticed then he was wearing an odd outfit. All black, with heavy duty boots, short sleeve, cargo pants, and a strange belt.
"You are a protecter?" I asked.
"Yeah...I'm sorry"
"No, I understand, you couldn't tell me, it's ok...where are the others? The ones who came with you!"
"In the park, why?"
"Take me to them"
"Why..."
"Please."
"Fine-"

Once we got to the park, I saw the others. The taller one was wearing a tank-top, but other than that, they were all dressed the same.
"Lue, what are you doing back, and who's this~" the shorter of the two said.
Lukas and the other were sort of staring at each other for a long moment.
"Anyway, I'm Micheal, and this is my b-m-uh this is Zeke" he said, sticking out his hand.
"I'm Jasper, nice to meet you" I shook his hand.
He pulled me into a hug, which surprised me. He moved the neck of my shirt, to where he can see my mark. I pulled away from the hug, putting my hand on my neck.
"Sorry, I just wanted to see if it was really the same" Micheal smiled.
"How do you know what his looks like?"
"Oh, I am his tem-" he was cut short from Lukas covering his mouth.
"Well, you can take him back" I said turning around.
"What?" The taller one, Zeke, asked.
"I said you can take him back."
"This is the one day he can visit home, and you spend five minutes with him before you want him to leave. You won't get to see him for another..." he checked his watch, "two years"
"Two years!" Lukas said, surprised.
"You didn't know?"
"It- it was only one..." I could see the tears forming in his eyes.
"You were gone for two years" I said putting my arms around him.
"I'm so sorry I'm so so sorry"
"It wasn't your fault, I understand"
"I don't want to leave you again..."
