Moon tried to ease her brain as she started walk to the football field for cheer tryouts. It couldn't be that bad right? Maybe it would be fun? She felt someone grab her shoulders.

"MOOOOOON I KNEWWW YOU WOULD TRY OUT YAYYYYYY" Kinkajou shrieked.

"It's not a big deal oh my gosh Kinkajou" Moon said, laughing.

"YES. IT. IS."

"I've never done cheer before. I probably won't even know what to do." said Moon.

"Neither have I!! Just fake it till you make it!!"" Kinkaou suggested.

"Okay, I will. Maybe it will be fun!!" Moon tried.

~In a lamborghini~

Winter sighed. He checked his bag to make sure he had all his football stuff. But he was very distracted.  Why did I talk to her?? What is wrong with me??? She probably thinks I'm so cringey! WHYYYYY UGHHHHHH  Winter groaned in his own mind.

~Outside of the school~

Quibli saw Turtle standing and waiting for him. He walked up.

"Hey Turtle, soccer and football tryouts are today, so we have to pick one. I'm honestly really torn, but I'll do whatever you want.

"Hmmm, honestly I'm leaning towards football."

"Ok let's do it." said Quibli.

They looked over to the field, and saw a pale blonde boy walking to the stadium.

"Ughhhh, never mind. Soccer it is!" Turtle joked

"Come on, let's go." Quibli said. "We've never even talked to him before. Don't be dramatic!"

~At the football field~

Moon looked over. All of the boys trying out for football started walking onto the field. WHAT!! They're gonna be here?? Wait that's so stupid, obviously they are, it's called a FOOTBALL field, but still this makes it even worseeee ughhhh Moon groaned to herself.

"Oooooh!! Look look Moon!! All the cute football guys are here!! This makes it way better!!! Wooohoooo!!!!" Kinkajou cheered.

"Wait are they going to be able to see us trying out?" Moon said.

"OOOH I HOPE SO THAT WOULD MAKE THIS SO MUCH MORE EXCITING RIGHTT" Kinkajou excitedly squealed.

I don't know about that one Moon thought to herself but was not about to ruin Kinkajou's excitement.

Both of the girls entered the football field and saw a big group of girls (aspiring cheerleaders) crowded on the tracks talking to the boys trying out for football.

"OMG. This is just like a teen movie!!!" Kinkajou exclaimed "YAYY I love school!!!"

"Look!" Moon said, pointing, "it's the scary blond girl"

"I think her names Icicle, and go figure she would be here. Eh it's ok you are going to do amazinggg!!!" Kinkajou encouraged.

Icicle being there and all the other girls as well made Moon very self conscious. It's ok. Moon reassured herself. The worst that can happen is that you get cut. Whatever right? It's just for fun.

"BOYS!!! STOP TALKING TO THE GIRLS AND GET DOWN AND GIVE ME 50 PUSH UPS THEN RUN 5 LAPS AS YOUR WARM UP. NO MESSING AROUND ON MY TEAM!!" Coach Webs yelled with a noticeably nervous assistant Coach Clay who looked sorry for the boys.

The cheerleaders all giggled at them.

"Hey." Coach Webs clapped Winter on the shoulder. "I heard you were the best in your league last year. You better be living up to that."

"Yes sir" Winter mumbled and began his push ups.

"Go figure, he seems like the teacher pet type" Quibli muttered to Turtle.

"Yeah" Turtle relented.

"Hey girls! Everyone come gather round!! I won't be making you run and do push ups!" Cheer coach Sunny cheerfully said. "Everyone do some stretches and warm up your tumbling. You'll be showcasing everything today. Just ignore those football boys!"

Moon leaned over to Kinkajou "Tumbling? How good do we have to be???"

"Eh not that good. It's just high school right?" Kinkajou comforted.

~A few hours later (still on the football field)~

Winter wiped the sweat from his forehead. Was it one million degrees outside? He looked over at the cheerleaders. They seemed to have learned their entire routine to audition with. He saw Moon and Kinkajou. Moon looked noticeably more nervous but he thought she was doing pretty good. He saw Icicle in the very front in front of everyone Of course. He thought to himself.

He was pretty confident about the football team as well. He threw pretty well and was a very fast runner.

"Alright boys." Webs said "Great work today. The list wil be posted tomorrow at school."

All the boys began to leave the field. Winter leaned against the edge of the stadium, watching the cheerleaders from a small distance. He did have to drive Icicle home after all.

"Nice job everyone! Sunny sang. "The list wil be posted tomorrow. You all did fantastic! Congratulations! You should be proud of yourselves!!"

Icicle walked up to Winter. "So how did it go" he asked her.

"The routine was easy." Icicle stated blankly.

"How did they do?" Winter asked about Moon and Kinkajou, as they entered the parking lot.

"Wow Winter. Two girlfriends. First week. I expected better." Icicle joked

"I WAS JUST CURIOUS." Winter fumed.

"They were fine" Icicle laughed. "The small one is loud."

Winter rolled his eyes.

~A few feet back~

"Moon you did soooo good I'm sure you will get on. When you were a flyer in those stunts you were so good!" Kinkajou encouraged Moon.

"Thanks." Moon said "But did you see that Icicle girl? She was scary good. How can she do so many different flips?"

"I don't know, probably Lamborghini school. Speaking of," Kinkajou retorted nodding over to Winter and his sister getting into their very sleek Lamborghini.

Moon laughed. "You do great too. See you tomorrow!"

"Cya bae!" Kinkajou said

Moon walked to her car smiling. She actually was pretty excited for school Tommorow.
