The death of a star

Introduction

Humans have gone extinct with many animals. You have been counting the years until you are able to watch a beautiful show, the day the sun dies. You've made sure to have a meal because you would know it would be a while until the next time you find real food. You would start walking through a overgrown town filled with giant cracks and plants sprouting freely. You turn off the road onto a small path where you push past grass, watching as you get higher and higher the further you go. After hours of walking you reach the end of the path to find yourself at the top of a small mountain covered by a blanket of vibrant flowers . You would sit down on a small clear spot in the middle of the flower bed and wait for the moment you will finally embrace after such a long time.

You watch as small animals play while you wait. You think about how happy they are and how oblivious they are of what's soon to happen. You look back up at the sky, you see the star start to get smaller. It's time for the show.
