The sports festival was finally over. Class B has ended up in first place, and yours truly Sudo Ken had won the the MVP of the event, along with a protection point and a cool 10,000 points.

I started looking around for the person I had on my mind the whole event.

I was looking for her.

Strangely, she wasn't present at the festival for the last few events. I wonder if she is ok, dod she get hurt?

Even Ayanakouji wasn't here but he wasn't here since the beginning because he said he was sick.

I looked into the crowd and saw my father and big brother waving at me as they left. I waved back. I could hear them cheering for me everytime I was on the field. I was really greatful for them. Sucks that I can't meet them though.

All of the boys practically ran back to our classrooms (well, not that useless incel Koenji) where we would be gathering up as the girls of the class decided to hold a celebration party with the juice  and snacks left over.

All the boys were shouting my name as we ran through the empty hallways.

"The men amongst men , KEN! The men amongst men, KEN!"

By the time we reached our hallway, we were all so tired that the girls had overtaken us.

Shameful for all you fools because I just ran faster than all the third years not once, not twice but thrice.

Hmmm.... maybe I can ask Suzune another request because I actually got the MVP this year.

As we got closer to the classroom I saw the first girl who arrived at the doorway to the classroom staring inside noiselessly not even opening the door. After the remaining girls also had the same reaction upon witnessing whatever was inside.

"What's wrong with them, aren't they gonna go inside?", I asked Kanji.

"I'll check it out.", he said lightly jogging towards to the room.

He peeked through the window and went slack-jawed like the rest of the girls.

As I came closer, all the girls started looking at me(?) with  horrified expression and a few pitiful ones (?).

Huh? What's happening?

Before any of them made a sound, I noisily kicked open the door, I heard Kanji far away telling me to stop but the damage was already done.

Inside was

.

..

...

Suzune and Kushida on top of a desk kissing each other.

My mind went blank, I saw them hastily separating from each other upon hearing my entrance.

Their faces were red as they realised what they had been doing infront of their whole class. Horikita grabbed Kushida's hand and ran out the door pushing past me and all of my classmates.

She made eye contact with me but I didn't even turn around as she ran past me dragging her partner.

The moment they turned the corner I could all the eyes of my classmates fall upon my back.

"Ken...."

I guess it really was a known fact that I had a crush on her for a long time now.

I turned around saw all my classmates' pitiful gazes at me.

Don't look at me like that. Please.

"I'll  go to my room now, I'm more tired than I thought I was."

It came out as more of a mumble than clear speech but I think they understood.

"You guys have fun.", I said. Can't let this ruin their day.

"Ken", Kanji said. I stopped walking not daring to look at my classmates' expressions a second time. "Um... walk home safely."

This fool. I smiled understanding what he wanted to say.

I just nodded and started walking.

All the way to the dorms.

Lifelessly.

More crushing with each step as what happened sunk in.

As I entered the dorms, I saw Ayanakouji in the lobby. We stood there for a while looking at each other.

In any other situation, I would have laughed but not now.

As I started walking towards the elevator he spoke up, "I heard what happened-"

"And what exactly happened?", I shot back.

I stared into his trademark expressionless face.

"She just swings that way, I respect it. "

He maintained eye contact for another few seconds before walking out of the dorms.

I stared at him dumbly as he left.

I decided to use the staircase instead of the elevator.

I ran up the flights of stairs one after the other until I lost count.

Panting, I stopped running as I reached the another floor.

I punched the wall with my left fist. It hurt but I couldn't feel it. A single tear escaped from my eye.

She just used me didn't she? Like when she, agreed to my bet at last year's sports festival. I really liked her and I'm sure she knew it too.

"FUCK!", I shouted as I repeatedly punched the wall.

More than angry at her,

He was angrier at himself.

Tears flowed freely now that he was alone.

Men cry but just not infront of others.

Trashy and rushed one-shot to practise my writing before my English exam tomorrow.  Peace.

Hate Horikita.

Peace.
