You stood in the open doorway, frozen, as you watched Alec scrambling to cover not only himself but the girl he was with. You had been waiting to see your beloved boyfriend all week and this is what you come home to? You had thought for a while that Alec was acting weird, but never in your wildest dreams would have thought that he would cheat on you. 

When he realized it was YOU who walked in, he pulled the covers over his nude body and ran to your side, leaving the naked girl to fend for herself. All you could do was whisper 'no.. no.. no..' under your breath like a prayer. Alec finally reached your side and grabbed your hand, begging and begging you to talk this over. 

'No.. no.. no..' you kept repeating, you were in total shock and completely caught off guard. Alec looks back at the girl, giving her a sad, longing look before turning back to you. He reached his hand up to caress your face, silently wiping the tears from your red cheeks. "NO," you yelled this time. You pushed him away from you and slammed the door before running off to the middle off to the streets. 

You ran and ran until your legs couldn't hold you. You fell helplessly to your knees and looked around you. When you didn't recognize your surroundings, you started having a panic attack. You pulled yourself off the busy sidewalk and into the deep, shadowy alleyway. 

You lay on the cold ground for hours, doing nothing but stare blankly at the wall with the occasional panic or anxiety attack. It wasn't until the sun had fully set that you realized you have nowhere to go. You knew you couldn't go back to the house, because Alec would be waiting there for you. 

You picked yourself up off the frigid concrete and dawdled your way to the street. It was cold and gloomy but the streetlamps were enough to illuminate the empty sidewalks as you traveled on. Going no particular place, in no particular direction, you stumbled along trying to keep yourself upright. You thought if you kept moving, you might warm up a bit, or maybe you'd find someone that could help you. So you just kept chugging along until you came across another dark alley.

That's when you heard the voices, at first you thought them in your head, but you soon figured out where they were coming from. Quiet but sure you stepped into the daunting passage. The closer you got to the end the louder the voices became until you found yourself right in front of a man, in the dead-end of the alley. 

The man was slightly taller than you, and by the looks of him, he was quite a bit stronger than you. "Hey pretty lady, whatcha' doin' out here all alone," He asked, making you more than a little uncomfortable. He reached out and grabbed your arm, "It's dark outside, you might run into trouble," he was slurring his words but that didn't affect him, so he kept on.

You were so scared you didn't even know how to react. Your body wouldn't move, it's as if you were frozen in terror. Petrified, you stood in complete shock. The man leaned in close to you, resting his head in the curve of your neck. You could feel his unshaved stubble on your shoulder. 

The next thing you knew, the large man was replaced by a tall figure, and the man was lying unconscious across the alley. The figure turned toward you and started walking you out of the alley. You just walked behind him in silence, and honestly, you couldn't remember anything after that. 

You later came to find that the figure that saved you was a hero named "Red Riot", and the man that was harassing you in the alleyway was now in jail. You had been staying in the hospital to get some tests done to make sure you weren't hurt too badly. It was mainly just a couple of minor scratches though, so you were allowed to leave today.
