The sun now had risen, shining it's rays down through the treetops. The rays were a brilliant golden yellow. The wind was a gentle cool breeze, making the treetops sway back and forth slowly. The forest was springing to life with birds chirping and the rustling of plants as critters scattered around. The air at a comfortable temperature combined with the gentle gusts made it a pleasant feel.
Ripper groaned as he slowly came to consciousness. The light flooded into his eyes as they slowly opened making the amber color of his eyes shine.
"How long have I been out?" Ripper groaned to himself.
A couple of days.
"Really, that long?" Ripper asked in surprise.
Yes, you were bleeding quickly. You almost died. You're lucky to be alive.
Ripper sat there in stunned silence.
"A-am I still dying?" Ripper asked hesitantly.
...Well...no...but...you're still hurt.
"Ok, that's somewhat good news," Ripper said to himself.
He let out a sigh of relief as he looked up into the sky. He moved his four limbs into place and started to lift. As he lifted himself up off the ground, his body ached a little in pain. He looked down and saw his shadow cast against the ground. The spot where he used to lay was completely stained red, coated with dry blood. Wow, that's not nearly as much as when I got myself off the skull but that's still a lot, Ripper thought to himself. He started moving forward slowly, his limbs trembled a little with each step. The grass made a satisfying crunch each time a talon touched the ground. He smelled the air and it had a familiar scent, but he couldn't quite make it out. It wasn't an old scent, yet it felt like he hadn't smelt it for a really long time. Sometime around his impalement, that's all he could make out of the scent.
"I wonder when I will be free for real, without having to run and fight for my life all the time. So I can live a life," Ripper said to himself.
You won't until you kill Wu.
"Yeah, I know, but I don't want to go back there... not again..." Ripper said trailing off.
If you want to be free, it's the only option.
"You're right, I guess I'm going to have find Wu and kill him," Ripper replied with a sigh.
Suddenly there was an abrupt sound of rustling coming from the plants. Ripper came to a stop and turned his head in the direction of where the noise came from. As Ripper's eyes scanned the shrubs a figure in the shape of a raptor stepped out of the shrubs.
Her grey scales accompanied by a brilliant blue stripe going down each side of her body shone in the sunlight and the amber of her eyes shone alike. She stood there with both of her feet planted firmly against the ground like she was making sure she was prepared for something. Ripper couldn't believe his eyes, he was looking at the very raptor that killed him.
Blue.
"You're supposed to be dead," Blue said mockingly.
"Well, I'm not, aren't I?" Ripper retorted back.
"How are you even still alive?" Blue replied back.
"That doesn't matter. What does matter is why you impaled me!" Ripper replied abruptly.
"I did it once and I could do it again you monster!" Blue loudly replied back.
"DON'T YOU DARE CALL ME A MONSTER!!!" Ripper shouted angrily.
