Chapter 3 | Unpredictable

Part 1: Stiles- (P.O.V)
"Okay how long does Scott take to reply to one text?" I turn to everyone siting at the table in complete silence. But no one responded, after I just broke the news to them about Jackson I don't blame them. But seriously this wasn't a rhetorical question.

I want answers.

"Guys?" I snap everyone out of their thoughts. I feel like I'm talking to a brick wall. Isaac, Lydia, Malia, Kira and Erica all turn their attention to me. I'm aware that if I say something I'm going to regret it.. But this was taking way too long.

I sigh I'm lost for words and everyone just looks down, I don't think I need to say anything for them to understand. They want to know what happened as well. But for the moment our minds just had to run wild of all the possibilities that could happen. Well at least my mind was going crazy which is kind of driving me insane. When you think about it...

Murders could start up again and we would have to be the ones that put it to an end. Also we would have to protect everyone around us. Which is a huge responsibility. But it's Scott, his main priority have always been his friends and families safety. He would rather risk his own life than live the rest of it knowing he could have done something.

After getting side-tracked by my thoughts. I look around the cafeteria to see Liam in the distance. His eyes are locked down onto someone. I look to where he is staring and it's at Kristen. He's looks angry more than anything. But she's sitting with someone maybe a freshman, I can't see who. But you can tell that Liam is worried.

Isaac noticed that I was staring at Liam and decided to join in. Isaac has been like an older brother to Liam just like Scott is. Which is good because it's making him feel more a part of the pack, and for Liam being bitten when he only just moved here would have been tough. So we are helping him get through stages.

But Erica on the other hand doesn't really like Liam because he has feelings for Kristen, and she doesn't want her to get hurt or be brought into the supernatural world. Which I understand but she can't control them or decide who she can and can't date.

Especially when it's clear that Kristen has some feelings towards him as well. Even though every time I ask her she denies it but Scott said her heart rate speeds up when we mention him and she blushes, it's quite obvious. So Erica is always trying to give him a hard time which in my opinion isn't fair.

After staring at Liam for a solid few seconds he finally noticed. Isaac and I raise our hands, motioning him to get over here.

He walk towards us with a small smile on his face. I think he was happy to see us until Erica rolled her eyes, he just ignored her. Liam pulled out a seat and sat down. That smile soon faded. I look at Isaac who is staring at me, not bothered to say anything.

I guess I'm the one that's going to tell him.

"What's up?" He says with a serious look. Sweat was starting to form on his forehead.

"About Jackson..." I pause to look around for someone to collaborate. But no one does. Lydia lifts her head and nods giving me the slightest smile. Her green eyes staring back into mine are bloodshot from crying or just being tired. Her hair is a mess but she still manages to always look good. She may still have feelings for Jackson. It's not like I care or anything. But I don't know. I will always like Lydia even if we remain friends for the rest of our lives. I care about her. I zone back into reality.

"Yeah? You can tell me..." Liam says concerned waiting for me to say something.

"Umm... Jackson was shot" I stammer back with my hands fidgeting. I hope I didn't sound like I was being sarcastic. But I must admit, I said it as though it wasn't a big thing. Everyone lifted their head out of their hands to look at Liam; waiting for his reaction. He raised his eyebrows then looked down. Here we go with all the questions that still no one knows the answer to.
