Alyana's pov:

Pregnancy was something which is hard to explain. It was a new experience, a heart warming one. I loved kids and I always dreamed about this time until it happened. It always hurt to know Emaad, the father of my baby is unaware of the fact that he will be a father. My ninth month started a week ago and I was afraid that the time will be near anytime.

"Alyana, I am going out with Rubina. Clean the dishes and cook dinner before you father in law arrives", Saba Auntie, my mother in law, told. I sighed mentally knowing she was going out. I nodded and bid her goodbye. Walking back to the kitchen and gathering all the dirty dishes I started washing the dishes.

---

After cleaning I was about to go back upstairs, to my room when the bell rang. I walked to the door, not aware of the fact that who could it be. I looked in the peephole only to move back with a gasp. I looked closely again, my mind not believing anything. I opened the door.

Emaad stood there looking at me with a shocking expression. I followed his gaze and looked down at my grown round shaped stomach which he was looking at.
"What is this...you are pregnant?", he said walking in and putting the bags aside which he was holding.

I closed the door and stood infront of him. "I am", I said looking at him with glimmering eyes that wanted to tell him what he made me go through. He raked his fingers through his hair as he sat on the hand of the couch. "Are you ready to be a father?", I asked curiously. Emaad didn't looked up.

"For business purposes, I am", he stated. My heart sank but I had to ask more until it is a solid reason.

"Our child is not going to come to this world as a 20 year old to be the heir. You have to witness his or her grow-", he interrupted me, by standing and making his way towards me with slow but long strides.

"What did the ultrasound said?", he asked as he stood infront of me. I lookrd straight in his eyes looking for any guilt or emotion. I was lost. I couldn't find what I searched for.

"I didn't got the time to do that", I said. Iy was half true but the complete truth was that his mother never spared me a minute. He bent down to look in my eyes. His jaw clenched and his hands closed up in a fist. I didn't even flinched. I was adamant to not let him scare me.

"IT SHOULD BE A BOY", Emaad shouted on my face. I flinched and a whimper left my lips. The pool of emotions I hid inside me just rushed out infront of him. It was not enough until a slight pain in my abdomen engulfed me. I crouched a bit putting a hand on my bump. I hissed. I looked up to see Emaad not even a bit worried instead he looked at me emotionlessly.

"I---Ta-ake me t-to th-he doc-doctor", I cried when the pain got worse. It felt like a stab in each part lf my body. It felt as if my bones were breaking down all together. I forgot the conversation with Emaad as the pain just revolved in me.

My eyes watered and I felt allot weak. I was about to fall when Emaad rushed towards me and held me from my waist, emotionlessly. What was he thinking? again about business or what? Was he helping me for real or just to make sure his heir is safe. "Come on, calm down", he said as he helped me walk out of the house to his car. He opened the door for me but all I did was shout in pain.

---
"Congratulations Mrs Emaad, you are blessed with a daughter", I heard from a far. Little cries erupted from the far end. Those cries melted my heart. I was unable to move for a minute but when the cries got nearer, I felt my body reacting to embrace and soothe it. I opened my eyes that I compressed earlier. Tears fell when the doctor laid the little doll of mine on me. Her eyes, looked at me thoroughly. Her whimpers slowed when I wrapped my arms around her. She immediately responded to the touch by pressing her face on my hand.

EMAAD'S POV:

"STOP PLEEASE, PLEASE HELP ME"

"YA ALLAH YA ALLAH"

"AMMI HELP ME"

"ABBU PLEASE STOP THIS PLEAAAASE", She yelped. I felt my my heart drop. What was happening?

"EMAAD PLEASE I BEG EMAAD HELP ME I AM SORRY PLEASE ema..d", her voice lowered at the end. Why was she apologizing to me? I was dragged out of my thoughts when I heard little cries. I felt like a statue, my body froze. My mind stopped processing. The doors of the operation theatre opened and a doctor walked towards me with a broad smile etched on her face.

"Congratulations Mr Emaad, you are a father of a daughter now", She told. My heart started beatibg fast as I could not believe anything. My tired body was no more tired. "You may come in to see your wife and daughter", She walked back in. I followed her until I saw them. She and my little girl. Alyana looked at me and the smile she had vanished. I could see fear in her eyes. Alyana's hair were messed, her face was wet with sweat and her eyes, her eyes were telling me things which I never understood.

"I-It's a girl", her voice broke. She let out a whimper. I walked towards her. I looked down at the little girl who was holding Alyana's hand tightly. I moved my hand towards my daughter but stopped midway. I again looked at Alyana and all I saw was tears in her eyes just like before. Alyana's hand slowly approached mine and she held it. I was about to pull my hand back when she intertwined her fingers with mine.

Don't...please, my mind spoke.

"OH Alyana co-EMAAD...?", just like a storm, my mother walked in the room.
