"What are you doing?" The God of Life asked, head poking over the other's shoulder curiously.

"When the time comes where we must fight another God.. We may need this." The God of Eternity spoke with a smile.

"That time will never come!" Life yelled quickly, he seemed as if he were convincing himself.

"You never know.." Eternity chuckled.

"So, Illu, any news for me today?" Hisoka asked softly, leaning back against the stone of the mountain. The two gods were sitting together on their favorite mountain, it'd been shaped into a rose-like shape after the great battle a few eons ago. Hisoka preferred not to think about such an event, but this mountain brought him great comfort.

"Ah, yes.." The God of Death, Illumi, brought a glass of wine to his lips before he spoke again, "Biscuit is messing up time again.. You should go take care of her. She's just a few 500 years back, not too much of a travel."

"Oh but she's my dear friend.. I don't believe she'd ever do something like that.." Hisoka frowned, Illumi liked to lie a lot, and yet Life always believed him. He supposed it was the curse of love, and he also wondered if it was Bisky's fault that he could never say no to him. She'd told him a million times though that she didn't have anything to do with the fact he'd fallen pray to Death's touch. He trusted her, too.

"She's trying to bring back you know who." A small smile played at Illumi's lips, "You know how that goes.. Since you are Life itself, I believe it is your place to teach her a lesson."

Hisoka stood instantly, a few cups being knocked off the table as he did so, "You mean..?"

Death nodded slowly, watching a bright light engulf Hisoka in just a few seconds, signaling to him that he was off to find Bisky. Illumi was not very kind, Illumi also thought Hisoka was quite annoying.

"Bisky!" Hisoka yelled, "Bisky what in the world were you thinking?!"

The other God in question was the God of Love. She was just tending to a flower field when Hisoka came out of nowhere, yelling about how she couldn't bring back the dead, and also itching to start a fight. The two of them had been close for a while, after the tragedy that happened during the war, she was the one who helped Hisoka get back on his feet, and she wasn't sure what the ethereal being was on about right now.

And so, Hisoka threw his first punch, "Illumi told me you were trying to bring him back! You know that is wrong! You mustn't do that, Bisky!"

"I was doing no such thing..!" Bisky shook her head, blocking the hits and blasts Hisoka sent her way. Even though Hisoka was the God of Life, his powers were more destructive than healing. Flowers could grow tall enough to crush human life, blasts of air could make anything explode, voice could tear down mountains, and with just a flick of his pinky he could send vines to wipe out a whole island, or even crush a nation. Bisky had to be careful.

"Illumi is a liar, I do not understand why you don't see that!" She shouted, summoning her shield, "You have been going too far lately! Can you not see that Illumi doesn't see you the way you see him?!"

"I'LL KILL YOU!" Hisoka grit his teeth, but Bisky simply stopped him again and again with her shield, his spear was doing nothing and his hits were getting weaker. If he really did want to kill her, he would've already, but this was simply an act of exhaustion.

"Hisoka. Illumi lied to you, again, and again, and again. If you can not see that.. I will forbid you from remaining by his side until you do." And with those words, Bisky used her abilities to send Hisoka to the present.

Past

"There will be a time when humans will not need our divine guidance any longer." Eternity smiled, "And when that time comes, we must learn to live among them as their kind."

"Are you saying they will stop believing in us?" Life scoffed, leaning back against his wooden seat.

"They may as well.. Look how far they have come already these years without requesting our help.. I would like our guidance to last.." Eternity sighed, "But they must learn to live on their own feet someday. Is that not what we created them for? To learn and create just like we once did?"

"You are the God of Eternity, can you not just.. Keep things like this forever?" Life frowned, "They won't stop believing in us if we just show up more often."

"Ah, but Eternity for this world does not simply mean to keep Humans alive forever, or to keep things the same for a lifetime.. It means to keep the Earth thriving too, and to do that new lives must be born, and others must be lost. That is why you are the God of Life, and he is the God of Death. There has to be a balance for eternity to remain." Eternity leaned back as well, mimicking the other's posture.

"Well if we just stay a few hundred years in the past.. They will continue to worship us no?" Life tilted his head.

"Mm, but living one day in the past over and over again would be quite boring don't you think? I believe that.. You are not afraid of not being worshipped anymore.. You are afraid that they will forget of your existence, and that you will not be of importance anymore." Eternity smiled, Life just grit his teeth and looked away with a huff.

"That time must come eventually.." Eternity whispered, "You must prepare for when it does."

Present

Hisoka, now unconscious, was shot to the present future, where people no longer believed in Gods, and where he was simply a myth. Instead of landing gracefully in a forest, or in a castle like the movies, he is sent flying through an apartment's roof, and into the room of a young man studying to be a doctor, who's friend has decided to visit that exact day.

"What the hell was that-" A taller male ran into the living room, only to see an ethereal being with long hair, large horns, and enormous wings, unconscious on the floor with pieces of debris from the ceiling and roof all over it. He now felt that staying up to study was a horrible idea. There wasn't any way this was real, yes, this must just be a hallucination! He walked over to touch the being's arm, sure that it'd just phase through.

"Why isn't it.." The man whispered. The skin of this creature was much too warm, much too real, to be just a hallucination.

Deep down, the man was just wondering how the hell he would manage to pay for all of this damage.
