The Nishioka family had always been very powerful and influential, since the feudal era of lords and samurais and when the age of super humans arrived their status tripled, once being a line of well respected and honoured samurai's or shoguns they produced many of the most successful heroes of the modern society, much like the Todoroki or the Yaoyorozu families they were known for their craft and complete control over their complex yet extremely powerful quirks
Akahito Nishioka was a beautiful man, kind and caring with a powerful quirk, Angel, with the ability to see the soul and utilise light through expulsion, he was their heir, yet when he married a foreign woman a person practically opposite in every way, his family were quick to judge his decisions specifically his grandfather and father, Amaya worked her way from the bottom up, once aspiring to serve in the army to becoming a pro hero, travelling to japan to succeed in her goals of wanting to open up a hero agency of her own with her family, she was a hard working woman with a quirk much like Akahito's but her soul burned with a crimson flare
