Mingi slowly pulled away and put his forehead against Hongjoongs as the two finally looked each other in the eyes. He smiled sadly at him as more tears poured from his eyes, both starting to laugh in a solemn tone.
"Maybe you think I'd be happier with someone else but I'm happy enough with you and I don't want to be with anyone else. The truth is, the person I was talking to at the tiki bar was helping me out with something that I had planned for you, I'm sorry about the way they were acting, I know that must have hurt your feelings. It honestly made me uncomfortable too, but as long as it was for you I didn't care, I wanted everything to be perfect." Mingi began to explain to him.
Hongjoong kissed him softly, closing his eyes as the other kissed back. They both hummed in content before pulling away. The kiss had said enough for both of them, so they held each others' hands before walking along the beach in silence. Hongjoong swung their hands back and forth for a while, they might have fought a lot, but to Hongjoong their love for each other would always be strong. No matter how big the argument, they would stay together. They both knew it, and were happy the way it was.
Mingi looked down at Hongjoong, stopping to stare at the shorter male in awe. Hongjoong looked up at him, smiling so bright you could barely notice his tear stained cheeks. Mingi loved that smile, he loved it to the point he wanted to see it for the rest of his life. So that's what he planned to do. He decided to marry Hongjoong, they'd have a special day to do different things, ending it with a nice dinner. Mingi planned to propose on their way back to the hotel by the bridge right at sunset.
Hongjoong pulled on Mingi's arm slightly before dragging him along the shore and towards the ocean. They kicked their shoes off in the sand and ran into the water hand in hand. They laughed, playing and swimming around together. They stayed there until it got dark, now resting on the sand with Hongjoongs arms wrapped around Mingi. They finally took another look at each other, both of them were covered in sand and salty water. Neither could bring themselves to care, instead they stop up and walked their way back to the hotel room.
"Thank you." Mingi said almost inaudibly.
"What are you thanking me for?" Hongjoong laughed softly as he stopped to look at him.
"For everything, thank you." he looked back at him.
Hongjoong nodded softly before pulling him into a hug, "Then thank you. Also for everything."
Mingi smiled as he hugged back. Afterward, they continued their walk back to their room. Once they got inside they grabbed a fresh pair of clothes and washed up together. They couldn't be happier, despite all that had happened today. Once they got in bed and turned off the lights, they turned to face each other. Staying and staring for as long as they possibly could before closing their eyes. They could look at each other all day, but they'd never get tired of it. No matter how tiring their arguments could be.
Mingi kissed Hongjoongs forehead before pulling him to his chest to cuddle him.
"Can I ask you something?" he asked softly.
Hongjoong nodded, slowly drifting off the sleep, "You can ask me anything you want."
"Would you ever marry me? You know just one day." he spoke tiredly.
