While I work on the next chapter I might as well share some plots for chapters and plot lines I didn't end up using!
1: Y/n was originally supposed to get stuck in the human realm somehow and befriend Vee and Vee's summer camp friends. This idea was scrapped because it wouldn't allow for much contact with Y/n and Hunter, I'd run out of ideas very quickly, and we don't know the names of Vee's friends even so-
2: Y/n was going to be a grimwalker but we don't know enough about those really yet so I decided to scrap that idea.
3: a chapter centered around Hunter trying to work up the courage to ask Y/n out. (Might write this as a bonus chapter here) this was scrapped due to me wanting to keep things mostly on Y/n's perspective.
4: Y/n and Hunter were supposed to have a sleepover at some point and watch (and sob over) Amphibia together. Scrapped due to me wanting to keep the plot moving.
5: (spoilers in case you haven't read chapter 21 yet) Novas original death was supposed to occur with Y/n spending a whole chapter trying to get a letter to Eda without using magic due to the curse acting up. Eventually Nova would fly in, Y/n would give Nova the letter, then Belos would kill Nova, but this was scrapped due to me not being able to make the chapter long enough.
6: Y/n and Hunter sneak out on a date after Belos reveals the curse thing to get it off their minds. Y/n and Hunter would end up at the same restaurant as Amity and Luz who are also on a date and attempt to avoid the two. This was scrapped because it felt really out of place.
7: Luz sends Y/n out on a hike after she noticed Y/n seemed spacey while skating. Hunter ends up being sent to the camp by Kikimora (as an attempt to get rid of him when he's needed for his duties) and the two of you go camping together. Scrapped because I lost motivation while writing it and didn't like where it was going.
8: Y/n and Hunter would get in a fight and decide to make one another jealous with the help of the blight twins. Y/n and Emira would go on a fake date while Hunter and Edric would go on one as well. Scrapped this because it would probably open some weird love square I don't want to deal with and I lost motivation while writing it.
9: Eda would send Y/n and Lilith on a "bonding trip" (definitely not just having them go get stuff she's too lazy to obtain herself) Y/n would have opened up about her relationship with Hunter and confusion on everything going on and Lilith would offer guidance. Scrapped because I ran out of ideas.
If any of you guys are interested in these chapters I still have them all saved and will gladly polish them up for this bonus material book 😳
