"Oh god, that thing almost ate you!" A voice cries. It's a familiar voice, a very familiar one.
"No! No, I'm fine!" A second voice adds. This one is much closer to me, arms reach maybe.
"I-is she one of them?" Where have I heard that voice before? "Oh god, she is!"
"Hey! Woah woah, stop!" I hear the horribly familiar sound of blade breaking skin and blood seeping out the infliction source. A sound of pain escapes the receiver. "Leave her alone!" I let out a small groan and move my hand up to my head, placing it over my eyes. I open them and adjust to the darkness, slowly letting light seep through between my fingers.
"She's going to kill us!" The voice shrieks as I drop my hand and try to rise from my laying position.
"Careful." The male voice says gently, helping me sit up. I blink a few times, becoming confused as to why everything is blurry. "Hey," I look to the owner of the voice. "Are you okay?" I nod lightly.
"I'm fine." I whisper. My voice wouldn't come out as anything above and scared what might. Out of all days, today is the day I chose to wear dissolving contacts.
"You're Evans' friend." The girl says, causing me to look at her. "Did she plan this? Is this some sort of prank?!" She stabs someone in the head. I gasp and shove my face into the guys neck.
"Hey, sh." He says gently. "It's okay."
"She just stabbed him." I say, my voice close to nothing.
"If this is some sort of prank it is not funny!" She shouts and continues to do so. "Is this pranked!? Who the hell would do such a sadistic -" the guy cuts her off.
"Would you be quiet! They'll hear you!" She looks at him as I remove my face from his neck and try to stand. Once achieving my balance, I wipe off the back of my skirt and legs. I pull my hair back in the elastic I always keep on my wrist.
"Oh my god," she gasps. "Blackwoods' kid?" She grins. "Oh this is too good." Her grin quickly fades as she takes in what I'm wearing. "It's Amanda." Oh. That explains Blackwoods. "You were at the party." What party? "You left before everything happened, didn't you?" Oh yeah. The costume party.
"Uhm, yeah. What happened?" I ask, squinting as I try to see her clearly.
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." Marzia is still there. "How did you get here?"
"Oh my god." I mumble as I head the way of the party.
"Hey, where are you going?" The guy asks as Amanda grabs my arm and yanks me around.
"You can't go back, everyone there is dead." I take my arm away and begin to run.
I reach the house with the two behind me, the guy out of breath and Amanda slightly so. I get in the convertible who's hood is up and tinted windows as well and dig around in my bag. I put in a new pair of contacts, my glasses at home, grab a drink of water, and grab the knife dad has me keep in the secret compartment of the seat.
"Woah, no. You can't go in there, those - those things could still be in there!" I take my arm from Amanda again and run inside. The first thing I saw was blood. So much blood. Amanda comes in after me, the guy last, shutting the door. I give Amanda a look. "I couldn't have stopped you, so I'm helping." She shrugs. "Besides, Ella is here too." Ella is her minion from school. Unlike Amanda and Ella, I got into a university as soon as I left High School. "I'll go check the upstairs." I inspect every face of the people in the bottom floor, none of them being Marzia or Ella.
