Mork waited anxiously to meet mindys father ever since mindy told him about it! Mind mind!! Is e here yet!? Mork asked jumping around like a child. Mork can you calm down for atleast 1 min! Mindy suggested as she stuck bobby pins in her hair. Suddenly a knock at door mork runs towards the door opens it and there mr mconnell is with a bottle of wine in his hands. Hi sweety. He said giveing mindy a kiss until he spotted mork. Nanu nanu paps! Mork says with a cool voice. Daddy this is mork. Mork this is my dad. Mr mconnell shakes morks hand. Hi how are you this evening uh.mork! He says awkwardly. Woagh! Mindy looked he lost some of is hair! Mork pointed out. Mindy tried so hard not to laugh. Mork shhhh.. she said. Um?? Well hes certainly a gentleman. Mr mconnell said. mork sticks both fingers inside mr mconnells ears! MORK! Mindt called. What are you doing??? She asked. Why dont we sit down and eat before our food gets cold. Mindy suggested.
The three sat down at the table as mindy began serveing the food. So mork...mindy tells me you work for nasa! Mr mconnell says. Mork turns to mindy suprised at that lie. Mindy whats nasa?? Mork whisperd.
Its a space station! I had to come up with a lie...just play along. Mindy said.
Mork clears his throat. Uhm..yes sir im an astronaunt! Mork said casualy. Oh really for how long? Mr mconnell asked. for...uhm??? For-for 2 years! Yes! For 2 years. Mork said nervously as he stuffed his mouth full of pot roast. Mindy giggles akwardly. He missed breakfast so hes really hungry... Mindy said. Mork knew she was lieing to her father but tried so hard not to mess it up for her.
mr mconnel looked at both of them with suspision. So mindy what does mork do for nasa?? He asked mindy swallowed harshly as she began to tremble with anxiety! well he uh... Mindy pauses for a moment with her father glareing at her. Heh heh. She chuckled nervously. Finnally mr.connell suspects something unusuel.
Mindy can i speak with you...he looks at mork. Alone! He says angrily. Mindy tells mork to go up to the attic.
Mork marches up the stairs. Mindy is confronted by her dad.
What did you want to talk about? Mindy acted as she did'nt have a clue.
Dont play that game with me young lady you know exactly! He said. Mindy swallows harshly.
im sorry daddy... I just could'nt bare to tell you the truth! Mindy said.
Truth? Are you keeping secrets from me. Mr mconell asked.
Mindy shakes her head. No! No secrets at all. She says.
is it mork? Mr mconnell asks. Is there something your not telling me. Mindy breaths heavily. No..nothing. she says. Mr mconnell looks down then up again at mindy. Is mork liveing with you? He asks.
mindy sighs.
Yes.......
Mr mconnell looks at mindy. You have been liveing with a man for 3 weeks! And you have'nt told me about it!!! Mr mconnell scolded!
Im mean thats the most biggest lie i could have ever heard from my daughter! My own flesh and blood! He yells. Mindys eyes fill with big blobs of tears.
Im sorry..and i was'nt lieing to you i was going to tell you but- mindys father interupts her.
But what! More lies mindy! Mr mconnell says angrily.
~ Up in the Attic ~
mork kneels down in the wooden floor and listens to mindys father merciously scold her. mork listens and listens until he hears theses words come from mr mconnell:
Mork is a wierdo! A freak!
suddenly the flashback of that incident on ork comes flooding bacl to his memory!
~ Flash Back ~
MONSTER! MONSTER!
People began to gather around mork giveing him angry looks.
im sorry i did'nt mean too! Mork whimpered. GET LOST FREAK.....
~End of Flashback ~
he hears the door slam downstairs. Mork does'nt move a muscle tears run down his face he sighs as mork starts glowing blue. he looks down at his hands and sees that their glowing as well.
Sadness...mork said to him self.
the sadder mork was getting by the minute the more he glowed.
Mork could hear mindy cry from downstairs he sat down with his back against the wall a tear rolls down his eye and drips down to the floor. he closes his eyes and sighs.
~ Time lapse 8:00 p.m. ~
That same night mork creeps down the attic stairs quietly he stops in front of the door looks back st mindy who is sound asleep on the couch. He walks up to her kneels down. Bye mindy...mork kisses mindy on the cheek and walks out the door like a quiet mouse....
