Her POV

I quickly shut my eyes again and act as if I never gained consciousness, maybe he might go away. My hope was short lived as I heard the sound of footsteps get closer.

'Open your eyes and stop faking it. You have a visitor.' I am not letting my plan go to shit that quickly, I'm keeping my eyes shut. 'I said open your eyes you little bitch.' A slap to my face makes me open my eyes. I glare at the man responsible, Alexander. A horrible man who will do anything to gain more power. A wicked smirk on his face hints to me that he has something terrible in store for me.

'What do you want you prick?' Venom practically spits from my mouth.

'Like I said, you have a visitor.' His smirk turns to a vile grin as he moves to the side showing someone I really did not want to see standing in the doorway. Romeo Accardi. Alexander's son. We have been enemies forever. Well since I was 5 but that doesn't matter.

We met at a gala his father was hosting, my parents were invited. Of course, they were. They were esteemed members of this society. The ultra-rich. The dirty rich. My parents ran a business consumed by drugs and deadly deals. Even though I was a thing to them, nothing more than an object; they did want me to be able to defend myself. So, I was trained as an assassin, cliché I know but I had no other choice. If wasn't getting myself out of one their deals, I was on a mission assigned by them.

But at the grand old age of 5 I was still young I didn't know what the people in that gala did or who they were I just wanted to make friends. If you didn't already know people in these so-called businesses didn't have children or if they, did they would stay with a nanny. My parents did not trust nannies, so I went with them and guess who else didn't have a nanny. You guessed it, Romeo. I was actually introduced to Romeo via Alexander and my parents. Unfortunately, it wasn't so we could be friends; our parents wanted us to fall in love. Provide them with a unity between their two businesses but that all went to shit when the two of us were left alone. You would think a 5- and 7-year-old couldn't have a big fight; well, you are oh so wrong. Let's just say we beat the ever-loving shit out of each other and still to this day we hate each other's guts.

'Trust me darling I would rather not be here either.' Romeo says as he walks towards me.

'Oh, really because it seems like you kidnapped me just to see me.' I smirk as his drops and turns into a stern look. He bends down to his knees, so he is face to face with me.

'Let's be clear, my father took you from god knows where and brought you here. I have been forced to see you for reasons I am still unsure of but piss me off again princess' he grips my chin and forces me to look at him. 'I will fight you just like I did in the gala but this time you won't get a single punch in. Am I clear?' I don't answer his question, stupid prick. He hits me just like his father did but this time I feel blood dripping from my nose.

'Fuck. You.' I snarl at him with a bloody mouth. He tilts his head as he keeps eye contact with me. He leans towards my ear, and I can feel his breath on my neck, causing goose bumps to appear.

'Please be nice I don't want to ruin your pretty little face.' He smiles and wipes the blood away with his thumb. 'Have a nice night Princess.' His father leaves and Romeo is right behind him; just before he closes the door, he winks at me, and I roll my eyes at him.

Who does he think he is?! Yea ok he is hot. No Adora you did not just say that. I did not just say he's hot. I must be weak; I haven't eaten in ages that must be what is. The hunger is screwing with my brain and the dehydration. I really hope that's what it is.
