SHE WAS RUNNING as fast as she could, heart pounding hard against her chest, sweat going down on every inch of her body, her breathing was uneatable and adrenaline was going through her system. She was afraid, terrify. How did she end in such a situation?

A roar behind her rang her alarms and she searched desperately for a place to hide, deeper down in the forest she was currently at.

She paused a bit trying to regulate her breathing, but as soon as she stopped she had to keep going, her body was staring to ache for all the sudden exercise but if she stopped it was game over. She thought she was unfortunate enough, and besides a giant troll trying to eat her like she was the most exquisite meal he ever saw, nothing else could possible take  place in the intent of a tragicomedy  she called herself a life. But she was so wrong though. Things could always get worse, and she realized so when a rock in her way made her face-fall to the floor.

She cried out. That's it. This would be the end. The troll finally arrived using the falling of the girl to catch up with her.

The ugly monster elevated its arm holding a trunk ready to crush her, Aiko didn't have time to react.

But just before a tragedy could take place, the demon let out a cry of pain and without a second blink it was torn apart into pieces...

There was a sudden silence and then, a voice spoke.

"Are you ok there, young lady?"

Oh God, it was so smooth, a gentle tone. Whoever was there, sure was one of a kind.

A hand appeared in her sight, she allowed her gaze to go further in order to discover the identity of this man. She never expected what she found though. At first, a high quality cloth, the armor, a puffy-looking thing, then the attractive jawline, those strange yet curious purple marks in his cheeks and then... The moment her eyes collided with those golden ones the world around them seemed to be frozen in time.

Same question running in their minds as a feeling of curiosity invaded them.

'Who are you?'

Neither of them knew it at that moment, but that encounter was a call from destiny. There was this strange feeling, as if they knew something was about to happen; something that could have brought joy... Or decay.
