THIS MAN WAS so strange, not only he interacted with her without being disgusted, but he was also a demon. All what she heard about demons were horrible tales: demons haunting places, eating people, sucking souls, killing without mercy. As she set a foot in the feudal realm everything about demons only seemed to be true.

Tōga was the first demon who did not want to sly her head off. And Aiko couldn't help but wonder why; why he was so kind towards her?

'Maybe there can be good demons too. Just as there are plenty of bad humans'. She quickly came to that simple conclusion, not wanting to bother herself much about the subject. He was kind. That's all that matters

At the thought her body relaxed and the tiredness of the previous actions took over her. Those stupid men  almost managed to rape her, she was able to guide them to their own set of traps while scaping, sadly it wasn't the first time running away from such an atrocious act. She hated it. Aiko understood since the beginning that once she was here in the feudal realm  she had to keep distance from most people, considering how they pictured her: as an inferior, a foreigner, a disgrace, a witch and even as a yokai. She was not respected among humans and certainly not among demons either. Aiko wasn't from the same country even. She didn't belong to any place, didn't have any house to stay, any friend to call for help or even an abandoned inn to sleep in.

Considering she was dealing with such a predicament, Aiko couldn't help looking slightly to her new companion in silence.

Well, maybe she does have a friend to call for help now.

Tōga gestures had been nothing but pure kindness. He was painfully handsome too, his platinum (almost white) hair tied up in a ponytail, his manners speaking, his body giving off  this authority yet gentle aura and finally, Aiko's favorite one, his eyes of pure gold. Aiko had never encountered so breathtaking eyes before, they were sharp yet soft, kind yet calculating, his eyes were like contemplating the last rays of many sunsets all at once. It made her felt warm, almost as if a long winter had come to its end; a winter full of cold stares.

Aiko didn't hide the smile that climbed inadvertently in her face as she took a bite of her food, guiding the Lord to her humble camping.

Taisho noticed her body relaxing in mere minutes, he couldn't help feeling intrigued by her behavior since moments ago she seemed stressed, mad with all her muscles tensed and her guard up, but  suddenly now she just looked exhausted, no so angry anymore. The issue kept Taisho thinking and drowning in his pool of thoughts, she was being so comfortable around him when most demons —including his comrades— were always in a  alarm state everytime he was around them. It was ironic to even think how a defenseless human was walking beside him being pretty confident and without a trace of fear, when not even his own kind would dare to such a thing.
