Why

Part One

ok so like all the POV things are practically just introductions of the characters and how they will generally feel throughout the book.

Narrator/Nyana

Today mom came home from her trip. Our mom is a nice lady, her name is Emma, and she is very laid back with what we do, she said since we are teenagers, we can do what every we want. We used to be a dad his name was caleb but he left mom when he finally came out to mom and said he was gay. He now has a boyfriend.

Today was a relatively calm day today, it was practically the usual Anthony and angel making out and laughing way to hard. Chris has been in his room all day writing and he only comes out to get cold pizza from the fridge, usually that's not a good sign because sometimes he will come out of his room and bother the rest of us with his sucky jokes but lately, he has been recluse. Mya has been doing what she usually does but I keep her informed with the shady shit going on around here. Ryan has been being Ryan deadass so.

Since our mom is back from work today, we decided to have a family dinner. We usually have family breakfast but mom wanted to sleep in today so we said we would do dinner instead. Mom doesn't have a lot of time to spend with us because she is always at work. Before you judge our mom, the foster care system has gone to shit so they don't pay her enough to provide for us with it. So, when she comes home it's always important to us to spend time with her because she treats us so well no matter how tired she is, and we appreciate it.

*Skip to dinner time*

We are all sitting at the dinner table (Me, Angel, Anthony, Mya, Ryan, and Mom) the only one not her is Chris. Mom is starting to worry why he is not her so i go upstairs and open his door to get him and with speed he is gathering up some papers he seems to be working on and he hides then which is weird cause usually Chris don't hide things. I just pretend to brush it off for now so we can have dinner. "Chris come on, mom wants you at dinner" I said, then for no reason he has a snappy tone and says, "OKAY you can get out of my room now." I thought it was weird, he can be like this as a joke, but he doesn't seem to be kidding so much now. I don't like the way he has been acting. Later I'm thinking it has correspondence with the paper he was writing on.

I made my done telling mom that Chris was on his way down. When Chris got downstairs he threw himself into the chair making the table slightly shake form where he hit it. "what wrong chis are you ok!!" mom exclaims in surprise. " I'm fine, now can we have this stupid dinner so I can go back to my room." Chris say loudly " oh um okay that's fine we will hurry so you can get your rest." she says sadly.

"So, you know how I stay hip with the gossip" mom said like well a mom. We just looked at her and nodded slowly cause we in fact don't know how she is 'hip' with the gossip. "Well, I heard something involving two lovebirds at this table." she continues. As she says that I see Chris grip his fork extremely hard, Anthony blushes and scratches the back of his head, Angel looks at mom in shock that she is actually up on the gossip. "I can't believe that angel and Chris are dating!! I always thought you two would be great together." With that mom smiles after what she says. Anthonys face drops into a look of confusion and slight hurt, Angel's mouth drops once more in shock, and she slightly blushes. Chris is now less tense and looks to be almost smiling at such words.

"Um mom, me and Chris aren't dating, it's Anthony and I that are dating hehe." Chris tensed up his body again and glared down at his plate and started muttering about how it's not fair. Mom squeaks with embarrassment about getting it wrong "oh I'm so sorry you and Anthony were second place on my ship placement. " "Second?" Anthony questions " Well yeah Chris and Angel were my first, I'm sorry I didn't know" Chris chuckles at this from knowing people thinking him and angel would be better together. " it's fine mom" Anthony said sadly. Angel then kisses the top of Anthonys head in comfort and gives him a hug and with that Chris angerly stands up from the table and says he is tired and will be going to bed and apologizing to mom for missing out the rest of dinner.  

Well I say that it was an interesting dinner. I think Mya and Ryan agree with me as they are sitting there confused
