chapter 51

Recap:

He smiled and walked out of the room. Bryce got up out of the hospital bed and went into the bathroom and changed into some clothes we had brought him from the house. He walks out of the bathroom and Paige immediately runs up to him and hugs him again. We all walk out of the hospital after checking out. We get in the car and drive back to sway.

We arrive back at sway and we all go inside and Paige still hasn't left Bryce's side. I'm glad to see her happy again now that Bryce is home and is okay.

Anthony's pov:

It's been about 2 weeks since Bryce got home from the hospital and Paige still hasn't left Bryce's side. Every time Bryce tries to leave to go out to a meeting or something Paige would always get upset about him leaving and I've been doing some thinking and I was starting to think that she has separation anxiety from a few of the boys.

Lately Paige has always been attached to Bryce, Jaden and Josh. She wouldn't let anyone else take her places or anything. 

I walk upstairs to Paige's room and walk in her room. I see her sitting on her bed drawing something in her sketch book that Jaden got her recently. I walked up to her and sat next to her. She looked up at me and smiled and then looked back and continued drawing.

Anthony: hey sweetie can you put that down for a minute?

I asked her in a calm and sweet voice. She set down her sketch book and her pencil and looked up at me.

Anthony: so I wanted to talk to you about something

She didn't say anything she just looked at me and nodded her head as if she's telling me to continue.

Anthony: I noticed since the incident that happened with Bryce you've been like kinda distant from me and the boys and would only go to Jaden, Josh and Bryce whenever you need help or anything and I wanted to ask why do you only go to them and not me or any of the other boys

She just shrugs her shoulders and looks down at her lap and starts playing with her fingers. I put my hand under her chin and lift her head up and make her look at me.

Anthony: Paige sweetie what's been going on lately?

I asked her as I was rubbing her back softly. I saw her eyes start to water as a few tears started rolling down her cheeks.

Anthony: hey, what's wrong, you can talk to me

I said as I pulled her closer to me and rub her back and kissed her head a few times. She didn't say anything she just shook her head.

Anthony: Paige sweetie I just wanna help you, can you tell me what's wrong

I pulled her out of my chest and made her look at me by cupping her face with my hands and wiping the tears that are falling down her cheeks with my thumbs.

Paige: you don't love me anymore

She said very quietly but I could still understand her. I was shocked of what she just told me. Why would she think that?

Anthony: baby, of course I love you

Paige: no you don't

Anthony: honey I love you with all my heart, and nothing will ever change that

She didn't say anything she just hid her face in my chest while her arms were wrapped around me. We sat there in silence for a few minutes until she spoke up.

Paige: I want Jaden

She said quietly into my chest but I could still understand her. 

Anthony: okay I'll bring him up

I went back downstairs and walked into the kitchen where I found Jaden and Bryce talking. I walked over to them.

Anthony: hey Jay, Paige wants you upstairs

Jaden: okay, i'll be back

He leaves the kitchen and walks up the stairs.

Jaden's pov

I walk upstairs to Paige's room and walk in to see her sitting on her bed while tears are streaming down her face. She looks up and sees me and quickly gets up and runs over to me and hugs me while hiding her face in my chest.

Jaden: hey what's up

I said while wrapping my arms around her

Paige: Ant doesn't love me anymore

She says while hiding her face in my chest while crying

Jaden: Of course he loves you

Paige: He has been so distant since the accident happened with Bryce

Jaden: He's just been a little busy

Paige: What could he be so busy with that he can't even pay attention to me

Jaden: He's been working on something for you

Paige: What is that something?

Jaden: Sorry I can't tell you
