Chapter 53

After dinner

Paige's POV

We just finished eating dinner and my dad and Josh were getting all our bags in the trunk of the car. I was walking downstairs and walked in the living room and sat on the couch and went on my phone and scrolled through tiktok. I figured I wanted to make a few tiktoks and post them since I haven't posted in a few days.

Right when I finished my second tiktok the front door opened and my dad, Josh and Bryce walked in. My dad walked over to me and sat next to me on the couch.

Ant/dad: hey, we're gonna be leaving in about 20 minutes, do you have everything 

Paige: yeah

Ant/dad: okay, i would go change into something comfy because we're gonna be in the car for a while

Paige: okay

I got up from the couch and walked upstairs to my room and went in my closet and looked for an outfit. I found an outfit and changed and then walked back downstairs to see all the boys in the kitchen.

Anthony/dad: hey, you ready to go?

Paige: yeah

Anthony/dad: okay let's go

We all walk out the door and get into the car and I'm sitting in the back with Jaden, Josh, Bryce and my dad and then we have Griffin driving with Kio in the passenger seat. I went on my phone and plugged in my headphones and started listening to music while I laid my head on my dad's shoulder, he put his arm around me and let me get comfortable. I eventually closed my eyes and fell asleep.

Anthony's POV-

Paige fell asleep with her head resting on my shoulder and I was just talking to Bryce about the room situation and who's sleeping with who.

Bryce: I say you and Paige share a room since you haven't really been able to spend much time with her alone just you and her

Anthony: are you sure? I know how close you two are

Bryce: yeah I just want her to be able to spend some time with her dad

Anthony: thanks B

*A few hours later*

Anthony's POV-

It's been a few hours of driving and Kio is now driving while Griffin takes a break. We we're all just talking while Paige was still asleep on my shoulder. I was in the middle of talking to Josh when I heard sirens coming from behind us.

Anthony: guys do you hear that?

Kio: yeah

I look behind us through the back window and see there's a cop behind us with their lights on. My eyes widened and cursed under my breath.

Anthony: um guys we have a problem

Josh: what is it?

Anthony: there's a cop behind us

Kio: what!

Kio looks through the rear view mirror and sees the cop behind us. He slowly pulls over and stops the car and the cop car slowly stops right behind us. We see the cop get out of the car and start walking towards the car.

Jaden: I wonder why we got pulled over

Griffin: I don't know let's just see what happens

The cop knocks on the window and Kio rolls down the window.

Kio: can we help you sir

Cop: I got a complaint that there were use of illegal drugs from someone in this car

Griffin: i'm sorry but I think you got the wrong person

Cop: all the information that was given matches completely with this car

Josh: there has to be some mistake

Cop: i'm gonna need all of you to step out of the car

Bryce: why

Cop: don't make me tell you twice, get out of the car

We all got out of the car and the cop searched the car while all of us were standing there confused and nervous.

Josh: what if they find something in there

Jaden: we're gonna be fine, there's nothing in there

Bryce: let's hope not

After a few minutes the cop finishes searching the car and he has something in his hand. He opens his hand and it was a little bag of some drug.

Cop: wanna explain this

Griffin: sir I don't know how that got in there

Cop: you know you really shouldn't be lying to a cop

Bryce: we really don't know how that got there

Cop: I also found this

He holds up a piece of paper, that looks like a reciept and it had Jaden and Josh's name on it as if they signed it. We all looked towards Jaden and Josh and they both have their heads down.

Cop: are anyone one of you Jaden Hossler and Josh Richards

Jaden: I'm Jaden Hossler sir

Josh: And I'm Josh Richards

Cop: it says here that you two bought these illegal drugs, so I'm very sorry I have to do this but Jaden Hossler and Josh Richards you both are under arrest for use of illegal drugs

The cop says as he walks up to Jaden first and turns him around and puts him in handcuffs. Then he walks up to Josh and does the same to him.

Bryce's POV-

I felt so bad for Josh because if he were to go to jail he would get sent back off to Canada and I don't wanna lose my best friend so I only did what I had to do to save him. The cop was about to take them away when I stopped him.

Bryce: Wait

The cop stopped walking and turned around 

Cop: can I help you

Bryce: It was me, I was the one who bought illegal drugs

Cop: but the paper said Josh Richards

Bryce: he didn't do anything, it was all me so take me instead

Cop: okay then

The cop uncuffs Josh and lets him go and he handcuffs me and takes me and Jaden away.
