Kelta, Valaeon, Erjana and Zaeron leapt from building to building, trying to surround the uriak, but the creature evaded them time and time again. Valaeon fired from his pistols, releasing two glowing balls of energy, but the uriak dodged, and kept on its mad flight. Kelta's lightning and fire balls also missed.
Then, as Erjana and Zaeron circled the creature, earth and ice walls appeared, stopping them. Fire and air spurts threw them back.
Four element wielders appeared, hiding the uriak from their view. Valaeon cursed, and fired again, but the fire wielder blocked the shots with an energy staff, its gold blades flashing with energy, as the balls collided with it.
"I'll take air and earth", Kelta said, drawing her rapier. "I'll deal with fire", said Valaeon.
The enemy wielders attacked. Kelta sent a torrent of lightning at the earth wielder, and a spurt of fire at the air wielder. Both attacks were blocked, and the two retaliated. A fire shield stopped the earth attack, but the air wave powered through, and sent her back a few feet. The wielders activated their weapons, the white and green casting shadows on their faces. Kelta released a few dozen lightning balls at the air wielder, and attacked the other, blocking an earth barrage with a fire shield. She blocked his counter and slam kicked him in the gut. The air wielder recovered, and sent a gust of wind at her, which she evaded, and the attack missed, hitting the earth wielder instead.
Kelta propelled herself upward with fire, and sent lightning raining down on her foes. The earth wielder blocked with his own power, and the air wielder followed her, covering herself in a layer of wind. The two wielders were both over a 100 feet above the building now.
Kelta sent more lightning, but her foe's white blade met the blasts, and she retaliated with air spikes. Kelta ducked, and surrounded herself with lightning. She channeled her power along the length of her rapier, but the air wielder met the attack again, and sped towards her, weapon raised. Their blades collided.
Valaeon dropped to his knees, gritting his teeth in pain, and holding his broken chest. The fire wielder picked up his pistols, and threw them over the edge, out of his reach. He raised his energy blade for the kill, but before he could deliver the strike, Valaeon rolled away. He closed the distance, and kneed his foe in the gut. He batted his weapon away and slammed his fists down on the back of the fire wielder's head. His foe grunted and slammed into him, sending him to the building's roof. Valaeon headbutted him in the face, and scrambled away, regaining his footing.
As his foe stood up, Valaeon slam kicked him in the chest, sending him to the roof's edge. The wielder fell past, but managed to grab on at the last second. A fire spurt sent him back onto the roof. He sent bursts of fire at Valaeon, but the Altiris Knight evaded and got to safety. He saw his foe's energy staff lying a few meters away, and dashed towards it. His foe noticed as well, and rushed after him.
As Valaeon's hand closed over the hilt, fists slammed into his back and a wrench sent him on his back. Before Valaeon could roll away, the gold blade came down into his abdomen. Fury and adrenaline enhancing his strength, Valaeon kicked him in the gut, and pushed him off. He attacked, delivering an elbow slam to his foe's forehead, and, as his strength began to fail, formed his palms into spear points, and jabbed at the fire wielder's exposed neck. He stumbled back, gurgling, and Valaeon took the opportunity, cracking his wrist, and cut through his neck.
He collapsed on his back, weakened from his wounds.
Kelta felt her energy draining, and released another lightning blast, stunning the air wielder, and moved back down to the roof, from where the earth wielder sent metal disks at her. She evaded, and coated herself with her powers. Before she came down, she twisted in mid air and landed with a blast of fire and lightning, sending a shock wave through the building, creating webs of cracks.
The blast sent the earth wielder over the edge, never to rise again.
Erjana pushed up against the ground, and looked up, to see the water wielder walking over to Zaeron, sword raised. The latter was still incapacitated, his chest punctured in multiple places, rising and falling in rapid, shallow, ever decreasing breaths. Adrenaline coursing through her veins, she stood up and dashed over to them. She bypassed the water wielder's guard and cut through his arm, and bashed him on the temple with the flat of her sword. A water wave slammed into her, throwing her against a wall of ice. She bounced back onto the roof, and attacked her foe again. Before she could close the distance, however, several water whips struck her, and an ice spear impaled her in the chest, right below her heart.
Erjana stumbled back, dropping her sword, and collapsed on her knees. Her head rolled in the dust, her eyes blank. The water wielder sheathed his sword, and, together with the air wielder, departed.
