I sat down in the leather chair slowching a little. I put my left hand on my fore head.
"So, Explain to me exactly what happened, Halynn.," Mr. Leblan said to me.
I crossed my legs, looked at the ground, and combed my fingers through my sticky hair. How will I tell him the truth without telling him the truth? I started to get butterflies in my stomache.
I started answering slowly, "She poured her coffee on me....for no reason. And I and I pulled out her bra stuffing...Then I told the class that she was having sex with one of the teachers...."
"And how did you know that Lacey was having sexual relations with a teacher? Have you seen it happen?," He asked with a in a mellow tone.
My heart was beating fast and my stomache was uneased.
"I just know.," I said to him still looking at the grey floor.
"You just know? You just ddon't know these kinds of things, and it is not something that you should find funny and should not be taken lightly."
"I'm not lying....," I said bluntly.
"Yes you are. Unless you can tell me how you know this, I just can't believe you."
That was it. I could stand being called every name in the book except a liar. My emotions were raging in my head. All of a sudden Mr. Leblan's desk started to shake. Well I guess that was me. Oops....I couldn't control it.
Mr.Leblan had a look of shock on his face.
"Oh my, we must be having an earthquake!," Mr. leblan yelled as he dove under his desk
In a way I felt bad for him, but then again I didn't.
I concentrated really hard on trying to make the desk stop moving After about 10 seconds I got it under control.
Mr. Leblan got up from his desk and sat in his chair trying to look profession while fixing his tie.
"Um, as I was saying Halynn, we will be speaking to your guardian about this incident."
I dailed Josh's cell number on the school phone and put it on speaker. It took him a minute to answer.
"Hello?," Josh said.
"Hello Mr. Simmons, Today in class Halynn and another student were causing a huge classs disruption during 1st period and I am calling to inform you with this knowledge."
"Are you kidding me? Halynn what did you do!?," Josh exclaimed over teh phone.
I explained what happened to him bluntly.
"Did you use you're-,"
I cut josh off immediatly in mid sentance and said as my eyes got a little wider, "Josh your on speaker phone."
I heard josh give a faint sigh theen said, "You know what, I'll talk to you about when I get home tonight. I have to get back to work. Bye Halynn, Love you."
"Love you too, bye.," I replied as Mr. Leblan hung up the phone.
I took a quick glimpse at Mr. Leblan then looked at the floor again. I decided not to read his mind.
"Okay, you can go on with your day. I just don't want to see you in my office again young lady. Got it?," Mr. Leblan said.
I quickly looked and starred at him for a second.
"So you're just letting me off the hook like that?," I exclaimed.
"Well, you've never been in trouble before so I figured that this would be your warning. But I will be looking into the information about Lacey and Mr. Devon. You can go now.," Mr. Leblan calmly said.
The rest of the day went by a little faster then normal.
Finally at 3:00 the release bell rung. I was happy to get out of that prison. I got shoved a bit in a crowd going out the doors in front of the school, but I guess that's an everyday thing. I'm pretty sure that everyone was glad to be going home.
I spotted Max across the street standing by an old oak tree that has been there for 100 years.
I ran over to him to get away from all the people.
Max smiled and I awkwardly smiled back at him. Now that I had another good look at him, he wasn't as good looking as I made him out to be. But he was still good looking.
"Hey whats up? Did you get in trouble?," He asked me.
"Uh actually Mr. Leblan let me off the hook. I guess you could say I'm lucky.," I replied to him.
"Should we start walking now?," Max asked.
"Yeah.," I replied as we started to walk down the road.
Max's phone went off and he checked it. I saw him text back.
"Hey, uh, some of my friends said they were having a party tonight at 6:00 and they said I could bring some people if I wanted. So do you want to go?," Max asked me.
"Um, yeah. I'll have to sneak out of my house without getting caught though. How many people will be there?," I asked him in a sly tone of voice.
"Probably about 15 people. But there not going to be any jocks or cheerleaders there, if that makes you feel any better.," He replied.
I nodded my head to tell him that I'll be there. Then some thoughts started to go through my mind; When should I ask Max if he's a werewolf? I mean, I know he is, I can just sense it. I built up enough courage and blurted out, "So you're a werewolf?"
Max snapped his head at me and just starred at me then he grabbed both of my wrists and turned me towards him.
"How did you know that?," Maxed exclaimed. He let go of my arm at this point.
"Look, I'm different too and my uncle, the one I live with, he's one too. And our roomate is a vampire. Also, there's a ghost living in our house with us, so you can tell my life if far from normal too. It's not like I would tell anyone anyways.," I told him.
"I'm sorry about grabbing your wrist....So you're a werewolf too?," He asked me curiously.
I let out a faint laugh at that question.
"No, I'm not a werewolf, Max. I have abilities, powers if you will. For right now, I only have 2 powers. Telepathy and telekinesis.," I stopped, looked around to make sure no one could see us, then I saw a small rock on the ground and sttuck my hand out as it hopped in my palm.
Max looked amazed.
"That's so freaking cool."
I walked up to the front steps of my house and stopped.
"So you're going to pick me up later right?," I asked him.
He nodded his head, "Yeah, I'll see you later then."
He walked the opposite way as I walked into the house.
