You and Jess sit on the couch finishing the movie. It didn't feel that exciting anymore. The next day Jess left, she had to go back to her Fiancé. You knew it was going to be a short visit anyways, so you decided to go get Vin-

Oh yeah... he's gone.

You go to the pizzeria, whenever you're upset you eat. You grab a slice of cheese pizza, when you are about to take a bite when you see a young man. Yes, he wasn't purple. You notice him grab a uniform. You get up, and walk towards him.

"Nice to see you here Y/N! I'm glad you're here!" You hear Scott's voice, he places an arm on the man's shoulder. The man moved away his brown hair.
"This is Jeremy, he's going to be working the day shift with you, how about you show him around?"
"Sure, Scott." You sigh.

The kid follows you, you talk but you notice he's not listening, he's just staring at his shoes.

"Are you going to listen or what?" You ask rudely, hearing about what happened to Vincent made you cranky.
"S-sorry." He mutters, he looks up. "I'm just very... shy."
"That's alright." Your say, you feel the heat and anger calm down.

You show him around, and you realize you guys have a lot in common. He would make a great friend... unlike Jess.

"So uh, Jeremy." You say, awkwardly scratching your neck. You've never had a true friend before, you became friends with Jess when she destroyed your favourite toy and she helped you fix up it. It was always weird, she would hang out with her other friends, you were the third wheel, and you always knew you would be.

"Wanna get some pizza?" You say, knowing that you screwed up.
"Sure." He says cheerfully.

You guys sit down and enjoy some pizza, you sit there nibbling, and suddenly he asks awkwardly.

"So... how are you?"

You could've said: 'Well, my boyfriend is in prison and my best friend ditched me, each second I hope to die. I'm stuck in this pizzeria because I was stupid enough to not go to college. I'm slowly losing hope. How about you?' Instead, you just replied with:

"Fine, you?"

You both sit there awkwardly, staring at each other.

"This is... awkward." Jeremy blurts out with a chuckle.
"Yeah..." You chuckle back, showing a tiny smile.
"So, since we're being awkward, let's do awkward things!" Jeremy suggested, this was the first thing he's pretty said without being shy. He grabs your arm and you guys begin telling people awkward stuff. You thought you could never have fun with a shy guy.

Your shift begins and ends, and you invite Jeremy to your place, you guys sit on the couch and begin to watch TV. Jeremy awes over a character.

"I think he's my favourite." He beamed. His eyes were all big and glossy.
"He's gay." You inform him, he looks at you, and looks back at the screen, as if nothing just happened. O-k.

You let him sleep in your bed as you sleep on the couch. Although he is shy, he was really nice, you just met him, but you pretty much knew all about him. His parents didn't have a lot of money so he got a job to help pay for his and his parents, he had a younger brother, who is sick. You gave a sympathetic look just thinking about it. You fell asleep on not-much-of-a-sleeping-type-of-furniture couch.

There's Vincent, smiling as he spreads out his arms, you run towards him hugging him, you feel a tear slide down you cheek. While your hugging him, his smile turns from innocent to creepy, his eyes have a tiny bit of red. His grip grows tighter to your waist, your losing breath. You look up to see the Vincent you thought you wouldn't have ever seen. He's more creepy, he looks like... a murderer. He continues to squeeze you to the point you can't breath. He's so nice to you, this isn't the Vincent you knew...

You wake up on the floor, Jeremy towering over you, he helps you up.

"You ok?" He asks. "I heard you screaming and than a thud."
"Y-yeah." You mutter, he cups your face.
"What's... wrong?" He says sternly, you never knew he had that in him.
"It's a long story..."

*TIME SKIP*

You and Jeremy sit at your kitchen island, sipping on some coffee.

"Explain." Jeremy commanded. You sighed and took another sip of your coffee, the warmness of the coffee reminded you of Vincent's soft, warm lips.

"Well, there's this guy, his name is Vincent."
"Oh, I heard about him, he's in jail for murdering children, what a mean guy!"
"Yeah... he's my boyfriend."

Jeremy's face flushed pale.

"Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" He exclaims, wrapping his arms around you giving you a hug.
"It's ok... ok well, it's not ok, but you don't need to worry." You try to reassure Jeremy.

Jeremy hugs you for awhile, he wasn't like Vincent, but he was helping. Jeremy then let's go.

"How about I take you somewhere?" Jeremy suggested smiling.

You get into his car and he drives you into a park. You remember when you were a child going to the park, you played with random children, you didn't care, you just always had fun! You get out of the car and sprint towards the park. You got onto the swing, Jeremy finally caught up to you. He gasps for air.

"Wow Y/N! I didn't know you liked the park this much!"
"I'm a child at heart." You explain. Kicking you feet off the ground to swing higher.

Jeremy joins you, swinging back and forth. You feel your hair slide towards your face, your happiness soon fades, you slowly stop swinging. You missed Vincent, you just couldn't live without him, he was like a drug that you needed. Jeremy slowly stops, and looks at you, you look at your legs, teary eyed.

"Don't worry Y/N! It won't be long!" Jeremy says, you want to tell him he's going to be there for 20-something years but you know he's just trying to help.

His tiny smile soon frowns, and you're both silent, you sit there until kids show up, he drives you home. He stands outside the door.

"It's been the greatest day I've ever had! I'll see you tomorrow!" He says cheerfully, maybe he was just like you, maybe he never had a friend either, maybe you both were experiencing something new. You smiled and hugged him.

"You know, I only met you for a day, but you're really awesome."

He smiled and slightly blushed... wait, he blushed? No no no no no, it could mean something else right? Maybe he was just happy? Oh no...

What if...
