"BEEP BEEP"
Rushing to my phone, I saw a text message from my best friend, Liz."Converse or Vans?"
"Converse" I replied back.It was 30 minutes before school started yet I was still in my room. I hurried downstairs and grabbed a nutrition bar from the kitchen.
"Morning," I said as I kissed my mom's cheek.
"Well look who's finally awake," She joked and smiled at me.I smiled back and went to put on my white converse. It seemed pretty cloudy today, I was hoping after school rehearsal was cancelled due to the fact it might storm later on in the day.
"Better hurry, you'll be late." Mom said as she looked at the clock.
"You know I'm never late, see you later, love you!" I responded as I opened the front door.Running out the front door, I could see my mom standing by the window smiling at me. Sometimes, I feel like I'm the luckiest person on Earth to have such a wonderful mom. My parents divorced a couple of years ago, when I was still in elementary. This year, I'm a Sophomore at Midlow High School.
"BEEP BEEP"
It was a message from Liz.
"Where are you? I'm looking like a total loner!!"Knowing Liz, she hates being alone while waiting for me to get to school so I hurried and walked to school. Midlow High School is only 10-15 minutes away from where I live. As I reached the school, I saw Liz standing by the small tree that the seniors planted last year for some project they were doing. Liz was wearing a crop top with high waisted jeans and her black converse. Of course her hair looked perfect as always, straight and long.
"There you are!" Liz yelled to me.
I ran up to her.
"Hi, sorry I guess I'm a little slow today, eh?" I said while trying to catch my breath.
"Ha you bet you are, let's go." She said and practically dragged me inside the school.I've known Liz since 4th grade, she's been my best friend for 7 years now. We're like sisters except from different moms. Truthfully, she's the only real friend I actually have.
Luckily, I have her for most of my classes this year, which is amazing since I won't have to be the loner in class who have no friends."You alright?" Liz asked looking at me with her beautiful brown eyes.
"Oh uh yeah sorry,"
"You sure? You seem a little spaced out today."
"Totally, just tired."She looked at me for a few more seconds then nodded.
"What's wrong with me today?" I asked myself.
It feels like I'm not being myself today, maybe it's just the lack of sleep I've had lately.Once we reached our first period, Biology, we quickly find our seat and sit down. We have Mr.Qui as our biology teacher this year, he's pretty cool except for the fact that he's super strict about students getting to class on time.
"Alrighty, get out your Biology textbook everyone!" Mr.Qui said.
As I was reaching into my backpack, I suddenly realized I forgot my textbook.
"Uh oh.. I'm in trouble" I thought to myself.
