The Happiest Place On Earth

A/N - Wrote this today during English! Not sure if my teacher likes it, but she doesn't really like anything I write XD - Aptly named, it's a poem about my first (and only) time so far overseas! Visiting Disneyland, too!

Flashing lights, bright sensations

Fly straight into my field of vision

A time where the summer is high

And the clouds rolled right on by.

There was no room to move, a bundle of ants we all were

Marching in line to our one destination.

A green gate sorted us into rows

As information soars every which way.

"Where are you from? How long is your stay?"

Me and my family now await

The happiest place on Earth.

A building nearby stretches up above

A wizard hat sits atop it, like a dove.

A smile curves upon my face as I

Watch the sparkles shine in the sunlight.

Here I am, conscious and all.

At the happiest place on Earth.

After the hotel comes the rides,

And more queues, which come in strides.

Ubiquitous are the shrieks and screams

Of joy, of laughter, what might appear in dreams.

I can't help but giggle along too!

Whereas my family sits in fright.

I'm taking in every moment,

Every opportunity, and every delight.

Forever grateful, I am

To have taken this flight.

To this paradise, in Anaheim.

The happiest place on Earth.
