On the way home, Mina had a call and it was from Nayeon, she didn't put it in speaker since Nayeon told her to. She then whispered something to her wife as she was driving.
"As soon as we reach the house?" Chaeyoung asked
"Not really, just later" Mina said and Chaeyoung nodded
Chaeryeong was curious, what could her parents be talking about. She wondered, she kept think and thinking, not until someone stopped her from thinking. Her sister tapped her arm.
"Are you okay?" Chaeyeon asked
"U-uh yeah" Chaeryeong said and hen averted her eyes to the window
Mina noticed it, she knew that Chaeryeong wasn't fine.
Upon arriving, Chaeryeong and Chaeyeon went to their own rooms to do homework and rest.
"Should we talk to her now or later?" Chaeyoung asked
"In a while, she needs to rest" Mina said and Chaeyoung nodded
Chaeryeong already finished her homework, she was sitting in the middle of her bed, looking around her room, remembering what Abby told her

She can't help but think of it, she was afraid of course, losing someone again is heartbreaking but knowing that someone will just leave you is worse.
"Sweetie?" she heard, she looked at the door and it was her mom
"Oh, hi mom" Chaeryeong said and forced out a smile
"Can I come in?" Mina asked and Chaeryeong nodded. Mina went inside and sat beside her daughter on the bed.
"Your Aunt Nayeon called" Mina said
"What did she say? is it about work?" Chaeryeong asked
"Not really sweetie" Mina said
"Then what was it?" Chaeryeong asked
"Yuna told her, that you got bullied at school today, is it true?" Mina asked worriedly
"Oh..."
"Come on sweetie, you can tell us anything, you know that we'll always be here for you and your sister" Mina said
"Well... it wasn't that bad" Chaeryeong lied
"You can't lie to me sweetie, be honest, what did they tell you? I know for sure that you're pretty honest with things, I just want to know what they told you" Mina said calmly
"Well, firstly, they did made fun of me in Miss Jieun's class a while ago. I finished answering her question and then they started to bully me, saying that I wasn't paying attention" Chaeryeong said and started to fiddle with her fingers.
"And then?"
"Miss Jieun said to the class that they should be more like me since even if I didn't listen to her I was able to answer and remember the topic the other day, then she (Abby) asked Miss Jieun if they need to be like me in being..... an orphan. They even laughed after that" Chaeryeong said, starting to tear up after saying it to her mom.
"Then she called me a crybaby.... she said that my real parents abandoned me and Chaeyeon unnie because they don't love us" Chaeryeong said, she was definitely crying already
"That's not true right mom?" Chaeryeong said and looked at Mina with tears falling to her cheek.
"Of course not baby, your parents love you so much, we already explained what happened" Mina said and caressed her daughters hair
"They also said that I'm just using you and eomma for money, that you don't really love us and you two are just waiting for me and unnie to grow older so that you can ditch us and then-" Chaeryeong got cut off when her mom suddenly hugged her
"Don't believe those words sweetie, we would never do that. Me and your eomma loves you so much. You and your unnie are the most precious things to us, always remember that" Mina said and cupped her daughter's cheeks.
"Chaeryeong, we took you and Chaeyeon to be our daughters, to take care of the two of you and help you achieve your dreams. We want to let you live a life that both of you deserve okay? Don't listen to those bullies anymore, we love you and Chaeyeon so much. Don't think about it now sweetie" Mina said and Chaeryeong nodded. Mina then kissed her daughter's forehead.
"I don't know what I'd do if I lose the both of you, it will hurt me a lot" Mina said softly and hugged Chaeryeong once again.
"Mom" Chaeryeong called
"Yes sweetie?" Mina asked
"Can you sleep beside me?" Chaeryeong asked shyly.
"Right now?" Mina asked and Chaeryeong nodded
"Sure sweetie" Mina said and chuckled.
Chaeryeong then lied down first and then Mina made sure that the maids will prepare the dinner for the meantime.
Mina then went towards the younger's bed and laid down beside her.
"So, how was the rest of school for today?" Mina asked as her daughter hugged her by the waist.
"It was fine mom, Yuna treated me ice cream and tteokboki" Chaeryeong said
"Really? well, would you want some tteokboki tomorrow after you tutor class? I can cook for you girls" Mina said
"Yes please mom" Chaeryeong said cutely
"Of course sweetie" Mina said and chuckled
Later on, they both drifted off to sleep.
Chaeyoung passed by the rooms, just to check on them.
"Babe, Chaeryeong, should we-" Chaeyoung got cut off when she saw her wife and daughter sleeping soundly. She loves seeing her wife sleeping with their daughters, it makes her remember those times when the two were so little, they would always want to sleep beside Mina.
Chaeyoung went in and kissed their foreheads before covering them with the blanket and leaving the room.
