He admitted it, he had forgotten that they always had a monthly meeting to check expenses and how much they were going to subtract because of VAT * this month, but Could they blame him? These months had been very hard to bear with all the problems of the protests of the inhabitants of Xian Le and the rumors of the mafia, in addition to the fact that today he had been distracted thinking about his past.

It was 5:15 p.m., luckily he had not left the hospital to go elsewhere, in other way he surely would have been late for that happy meeting (which for him was more listening to complaints and gossip than anything else).

He arrived at the building and Yin Yu took him to the hospital meeting room, almost everyone was already there, only he and Ling Wen were missing (she apparently was going to come for a little while, to keep the accounts). They were all inside the meeting room to discuss/talk about the important issues.

– Well, before formally starting the meeting I wanted to inform you that, as you know, the country is having a particular difficult time and the kingdom needs to get money from somewhere – Ling Wen spoke – So the kings decided that this time they are going to take away from us 25% of our salary this month.

– That's unfair! – someone yelled.

– It's too much they are going to take from us! – someone else yelled.

– And What are we going to eat with? and How are we going to pay the rents? They don't give us apartments, much less food!

– Why don't they take money from someone else? Because of the protests and accidents, we are working twice as much as we normally do!

– We barely earn 144,000 yen* per month, and they want to take more from us? Do you know how much an apartment costs in this part of the city?

Ling Wen sighed before continuing.

– In this way, we will earn 108,000 yen in total this month subtracting 25% VAT.

A huge wave of protests broke out within that small room, the only calm one was Hua Cheng who was only frowning as he thought. Were they going to take 25% from them? He remembered that his Gege had told him that they were going to take a fifth of their salary, not a quarter.

He was about to speak when he noticed Ling Wen's papers and, before she moved them, he was sure he had seen an image of a red sun on one of his papers. It was a bit strange to see that but he didn't give importance to it.

After that the topics to be discussed were a little more trivial and almost unimportant, Ling Wen left only half an hour later.

After almost three tortuous hours of sitting there doing nothing, that happy meeting was finally over, of course, if you wanted to name so the fact of just watch how they complained about almost everyone else.

In the end, only he and two other "co-workers" remained who, like yesterday, did not come off at all as if they were annoying fleas.

– What do you two want now? – he asked them.

– Nothing – Mu Qing and Feng Xin replied in unison.

– Then, Why are you still here? – Hua Cheng asked raising an eyebrow.

– ... – neither Feng Xin nor Mu Qing replied.

– Don't you have something better to do than watch over me? – Hua Cheng asked them this time with a frown.

– No – they answered at the same time.

Well, this situation was already getting him more than fed up, what's more, he felt like he was already getting stressed. Couldn't they just leave him for 5 minutes? Not even 5 damn minutes for privacy?! They had been watching him all day yesterday and all day long of today!
