Slow Dancing

It was a late afternoon when you got ready for the gala your best friend invited you to.

Nervously you fix your hair while grabbing your bag and walking to the taxi, which you called before.

Now there was no going back. You're going to go to the gala and your gonna tell your best friend about your crush on them.

You tell the driver where to go and shortly after that the car started to move. A little bit bored you look outside the window of the car.

Eversince you've met your best friend in high school you've had a crush on them. Theyr glowy eyes, theyr perfect smile and theyr kind and cute character made you fall in love with tham even more.

Almost every night you've been dreaming of them holding your hand and giving you a soft kiss on your forehead.

But today was the day. The day of telling them the truth. The day of telling about your feelings and about your friendship.

You just can't keep all these feelings inside anymore. You've tried to act normal for such a long time already, you just have to tell them.

The lights of the Lamps outside bring you back to reality. They somehow kinda remind you of your friend. Always whan you felt down, they were there to help you. To make you feel better.

You can't thank your bestie enough for always staying by your side. For sure you've been through some hard times but you could never be angry with them, no matter what they'd do.

''So, we' re here. Just give me the money and, well have fun I guess.", the taxi driver said, turned around and looked at you.

" Y-yeah...sure.", you answered, grabbed in your bag and gave him 20£.
(im just gonna use pounds lol)

A bit nervous you leave the car and walk to the entrance of the gala. So many lights, smells and noise.

You've never seen a place so beautiful and romantic.

"Finaly, you arrived! I've been waiting for you since 15 minutes!", your best friend welcomed you.

With a big smile you open your arms widely and pull them in a big hug. Who knows, maybe that's the last time you both are hugging as 'friends'.

"So I have to tell you something. I-"

"Let me show you something!", your friend interrupts you and pulls you with them.

You two are walking to a place behind the big house where the other people are.

"Come on, do you wanna dance?"

To be honest this is quite unusual for your friend. They're usually quite and not so extroverted.

Before you can decide they wrap theyr arms around your neck and you automatically let your hands slide down theyr dress and ley them on theyr hips.

That's the perfect time! Now or never!

"I ah I have to tell you something. I've been keeping this since a while now and I just have to tell you.", you try to explain.

"I know. You love me don't you? It's so obvious", they interrupt you again and pull you a little bit closer, slowly laying theyr forehead against yours.

"Y-you knew it all the time? Am I really so bad at acting?"

Your friend let's out a small giggle. "Well yeah. You really suck at acting."

The two of you slowly start to move in the rhythm of the music coming from the gala.

Quietly you both open your eyes and look at each other.

"But that doesn't mean I don't love you back.", they whisper. "May I try something?"

Your faces are getting closer and closer. Just like a reflex you both close your eyes as your lips softly touch.

It feels like as if millions of butterflys fly in your stomach. You see every through a pink glittery pair of glasses. (hope u get what I mean)

Minutes past and you both keep dancing underneath the moonlight.
