Today was the day that I would be packing up my life and moving to Los angeles with My best friend Melissa. Packing up your life and starting over is quite hard especially for me, family and love is what kept me balanced and sane but now all that is gone. Standing there zipping up my last suitcase i thought back to the month before when I had lost my parents in a car accident. They have been a part of my life for thirty years only to have them one day gone it just hit a sore spot one that I wanted to change. So when Melissa told me that she was engaged to Josh and moving to Losangles I jumped at the shot to start over. I shook all thoughts out of my head and had just finished zipping up my last suitcase when my bedroom door swung open and Melissa stood there with this big stupid grin on her face.

Melissa: "So are you ready? Josh just called me to see if we left yet and of course I told him you needed a few minutes to say goodbye. He said that he got the tickets fro us for the supernatural convention."

Me(jackie):" I know I know melissa and yes I am just about ready to leave. I can not believe that your engaged and that your fiance is a new hunter on supernatural. did I mention i hate you for making me drive to Los angeles."

I really didn't hate Melissa she was my best friend for the last seven years or so. she knows how scared I am to fly so I don't actually blame her.I stood straight up grabbing my suitcase and hading down stairs to the front door. I took one last look at the house i grew up in before walking outside and closing the door behind me. I glanced up at Melissa before placing my bag in the trunk and turning to my sisters and brothers who huged and kissed me goodbye. I bent down and kissed the heads of my nieces and nephews who i was going to miss so much. Once I was done saying goodbye and had one big picture taken I turned to melissa and nodded towards the car knowing that if I stayed any long I would not be leaving.

One last look at my family then I smiled and climbed in the drivers seat of my convertable and smiled at Melissa as we drove off on our first adventure of the rest of our lives. The sun was shining as we stopped off at the store to stock up on snacks and food for the trip we had a lot packed but hey who doesnt love junk food. So half way through our trip we managed to blare the music really loud and belt out the songs at the top of our voices, dancing while we did so. However it would seem fate had different plans for Melissa and I. My car broke down and of course both of us started freaking out because it was rather dark. We called a tow truck and that took us to the garage, they would not be finished the car until tomorrow so we had to stay at a local motel. Melissa smirked as we got our room and grinned she went and jumped on one of the beds as I tossed my bag down on the other.

Melissa: So I saw a bar back down the road on the walk here. They are having a karaoke contest tonight and I was thinking that I should sing and maybe win us money for this trip.

Me(JACKIE): Really Melissa you want to go sing at a bar. Okay but I am not singing with you.

One hour later I found myself sitting at a table across from Melissa sipping a beer and eating wings. Melissa was waiting for her turn to sing. She was getting nervous I could tell and I smiled at her and grinned. We finished our drinks before ordering another one and more food. I had actually ordered a burger while Melissa was on her phone talking to Josh. The more I listened to them and their romantic talk I wanted to gag, don't get me wrong I love Melissa dearly. I just have not been as lucky as her in the relationship department, my last boyfriend cheated on me so I am not exactly a trusting person when it comes to men. When Melissa hung up her phone she turned to me and grinned with a big smile on her face.

Me(JACKIE): What do I have something on my face?
Melissa: No not at all Josh is just excited for to get there. The only thing is he is not there either he has had car trouble too.
Me(Jackie): What really wow.
