Chapter 4. The New Dog Discussion 

My POV: I continued reading the newspaper on the way home the little dog was resting on my lap during the car ride I would occasionally look down at the dog I was wondering what Lillian would think she and I love dogs but we quite few dogs as it is but I'am sure that we will figure something out after 10 to 5 minutes we finally arrived home as Miles pulled up to the front door Nelson came out and opened the car door for me and I stepped out holding the little dog in my arms

Welcome home Lord Talbot I hope you had a wonderful day and everything was well here at Talbot Hall Nelson greeted

Thank you Nelson and that is wonderful I replied

We walked in I had let Nelson know about the little dog that I was holding gently in my arms as we walked into the parlor little William and Destiny were sitting down on the floor playing Mrs Schmidt was also there spending time with them I handed the little dog to Nelson and told him to put the dog somewhere safe I decided to discuss it with Lillian before our children see the little dog Nelson though it was a good idea and put the dog in a different room as he did our children rushed over to me

Daddy's home daddy's home Destiny chanted running over to me

Hi sweetheart "did you have a good day? I asked picking her and my son up and holding them lovingly in my arms

Yeah we had a fun day today we played outside and everything! Destiny said gleefully

Well that is wonderful I'am glad you had fun "what about you William? "Did you have fun as well? I replied

Little William nodded and smiled happily and giggled as well I smiled happily at them and kissed both of them as I did Lillian came out and walked over to us happily I set our children down and hugged and kissed Lillian happily

Hello darling I said

Hello my love Lillian replied

I have something to discuss with you I said

Lillian looked at me worried and puzzled but I reassured her that it was nothing bad or anything so that calmed Lillian down and she asked if Mrs Schmidt could take the children to get them ready for dinner and we walked into the drawing room

"Alright Lawrence what is it? "Are you sure it is nothing bad? Lillian asked when we walked into the drawing room

I gently picked the little dog holding it gently as I walked over to Lillian who had an adorable but worried look on her face as I walked over to her with the little dog in my arms

Ohh Lawrence this dog is adorable "but do we really need another dog? Lillian asked

Well that is why I wanted to discuss this with you darling I replied

Well that is nice of you to do darling "how did you come across this beautiful little dog? Lillian asked

Miles was driving home with me in the backseat and he almost hit the dog I said

Lillian's face soften as she looked at the little dog we continued discussing what to do about the little dog after a few minutes we decided to keep the little dog and we named her Maple we then showed her to our children and they love her afterwards we had dinner and during dinner Nelson made sure all of our dogs were fed as well after dinner we put our children to bed then we went to bed ourselves we were sound asleep when we heard some whining we woke up and saw Maple by our bed I looked over at Lillian

Alright darling go ahead and bring her up onto the bed Lillian said smiling softly

I chuckled softly and held out my arms and Maple jumped up into my arms then we made sure she was comfortable then we turned out the lights and kissed each other goodnight

Goodnight my love Lillian said

Goodnight darling I replied then we went to sleep and that was that
