Chapter 5. Some Exciting News

My POV: it was a quiet day at Talbot Hall I was sitting at the breakfast table reading the newspaper when I noticed Lillian was not eating much of her breakfast which worried me I folded the newspaper so I could see my beautiful wife and children

Is everything alright darling? You have not eaten very much I asked

Alright darling we have a doctor's appointment today Lillian replied

Alright "what time is your doctor's appointment? I asked

8:30 darling Lillian said

Alright darling I will accompany you to your doctor's appointment if you want I said

I would love that darling Lillian replied smiling happily at me

Alright darling I said

Soon it was 8:30 I had asked Nelson to tell Miles to bring the car around and they did I helped Lillian put on her coat then Nelson helped me put my coat then he handed me my hat then we walked out to the car Miles smiled softly and tipped his hat to us as we were getting into the car

Good morning Lord and Lady Talbot Miles greeted

Good morning Miles Lillian said

Good morning and thank you very much Miles I added

You are welcome Lord Talbot Miles said then he closed the car door and got in started the car and we drove to the doctor's office

How are you feeling darling? I asked holding Lillian gently in my arms

I'am alright darling Lillian replied smiling softly at me

After 10 or 15 minutes in the car we finally arrived at the Doctor's office Dr Josiah Scurlock was our doctor he is one of the best doctors and we have taken our children to him for as long as he has been practicing we walked up to the receptionist's desk and told her that we had an appointment with Dr Scurlock she handed us a form to fill out after we filled the form out Dr Scurlock came out and invited us over to his office

So how are we doing today? Dr Scurlock asked

We are doing well but I had been feeling very sick to my stomach lately and I have been feeling very tired as well Lillian said

I see "and how long have you been feeling like this? Dr Scurlock asked

Two months Lillian replied

I see well if you do not mind I would to do a couple of tests Dr Scurlock said

Alright that is alright I replied

Dr Scurlock nodded then went ahead with the tests after an hour or two Dr Scurlock came back holding some test results I gently held Lillian close to me I was worried about what Dr Scurlock was going to tell us

I have some good news Mr and Mrs Talbot Dr Scurlock said

Well what is it? Lillian and I asked

Congratulations Mr and Mrs Talbot you are expecting a new baby Dr Scurlock said

Lillian and I looked at him shocked but happy we could not believe that we were expecting another baby Lillian was overjoyed as so was I I gently hugged Lillian as we were both happy

Dr Scurlock are you sure she is expecting? I asked just to be sure

Yes I'am sure Mr Talbot I double checked the test results and they have confirmed that your wife is indeed pregnant Dr Scurlock said

I smiled happily as so did Lillian we thanked Dr Scurlock then we headed home I gently held Lillian happily close to me Lillian rested her head on my shoulder during the ride home

I want you to rest for the rest of your pregnancy darling I said

Alright darling I will do my best Lillian replied

I smiled happily at her and kissed the side of her head and held her close to me we finally arrived home had dinner Lillian to host a dinner party to announce her pregnancy and I was alright with it as long as she did not overdo herself and she agreed after dinner we put the children to bed then we went to bed ourselves it was an exciting day and we were happy and we would not have it any other way
