Zeek didn't go to either of the funerals when they were held two weeks ago.

It wasn't like he didn't want to go. He did. He really did, but with no bodies to truly bury and with how his mental health is right now...he didn't think he could handle going to the funerals. He knew that if he would have gone...he would have broken down right then and there as soon as he saw the empty caskets.

So, he usually spends his time at his desk, working or in his bed, trying to disappear from the world. He tended to not talk to whoever came to the door except for when it's dinner time and whatever else, although he did talk to his parents to let them know he was fine....even though that would be a little white lie.

A knock on his door interrupted his thoughts, making him look up from his work on his desk and over to the door. "Yeah?"

"It's me." came Ilene's voice. "I brought you lunch. May I come in?"

"Yeah, sure."

He watched as the door opened and his friend walked inside with a bowl full of his favorite ramen and a mug of green tea. He watched as she placed it on the desk and looked at him and he knew she was taking in his not so great appearance.

Dark under his eyes, more pale than before and it was like he had lost some weight which was probably true. He hadn't eaten a whole lot, just whenever someone brought him food.

"Thanks." Zeek attempted to smile as he grabbed the bowl and the fork that laid beside it. "How's the big guy?"

"He's making sure the other Titans are behaving. Although, we also think he's looking for a new home."

"I could imagine it's not going well for him. Kinda makes me sad that we had to...uh...blow his home up." He watched Ilene nod as he started to eat his ramen. "How's Maddie?"

"She's...doing as well as a kid can be with everything she went through."

"Yeah...true." he sighed, rubbing the back of his neck once he was finished eating before taking a sip of his green tea.

"How have you been?"

"Oh, you know, same old."

He saw her open her mouth at his vagueness before closing it once more and sighed, making him feel a little back as he knew she was worried about him.

"Alright. Call me if you need anything."

"Will do, half-moth." Zeek said jokingly, which made the corner of her lips twitch upwards before grabbing the mug and the bowl and leaving the man alone in his quarters once more, making him slump.
