cora's pov

the cool air of London hit my face as I walk out of my family's new little house in London. truth be told I really didn't want to be here, my dad decided to get a job at the ministry of magic and move our entire family overseas.

making matters even worse I have to attend Hogwarts starting in my 6th year with no friends. I had so many amazing friends back at iilvermorney it was so hard saying goodbye.

"hey, you are going to love Hogwarts I promise" my dad said reassuringly. "thanks dad" I smiled up at him not having the heart to tell him that I really didn't want to go to Hogwarts. my dad uses some magic on what looks like a brick wall and it opens to reveal a crowded street of shops. my senses were instantly overwhelmed with conversation and all the colors in the alley.

"Cora this is Diagon Alley we can get everything on your supplies list here" my dad said. "its so cool" I said now feeling the atmosphere of Diagon Alley overtake me. we turned into a small shop with books everywhere.

my dad gave me my list and sent me off to find my books. the skinny isles of the bookstore were crowded with students getting their supplies last minute. I found the potions book first which might be the biggest book I've ever seen in my life. soon later I found the rest of the books with ease meeting my dad back by the entrance.

as I make my way back to my dad I saw him talking to a ginger haired man that looks to be about his age. "Cora! this is Arthur Weasley I am working with him at the ministry" my dad said "hi" I said to Arthur. "your dad tells me you are going to Hogwarts! I have kids that go there my twin boys Fred and George are in your year, Ron is in his 4th year and ginny is in her third year" Arthur said excitedly. "cool" I said to Arthur. my dad finished up his conversation with Arthur and we finished shopping.

when I got home I put my new supplies in my trunk which makes me all packed for the train tomorrow. in Diagon Alley I bought a book which explains the history of Hogwarts and a description of all the Hogwarts houses, there are four and they are all very different. I see most of my qualities fitting in with Gryffindor or Hufflepuff.

laying in bed I feel the nerves taking over my mind. what are they going to think of me? what house am I going to be in? how am I going to make new friends? maybe I can be friends with Arthurs kids? with all of this in mind I finally fell asleep after what felt like ages.

"wake up its your first day" my mom said pulling my curtains open. "5 more minutes" I mumbled and put the covers over my face. my mom isn't a wizard she and my dad met when they were in their 20s. she found out my dad was a wizard shortly before my dad proposed to her and she's been more then supportive of my journey as a wizard. "come on we made your favorite for breakfast" she said smiling at me. "ok" I said springing instantly from my bed knowing they made my favorite, waffles.

"morning dad" I said to my dad as I sat at the table. "morning Cora" he said handing me a plate of waffles. "are you nervous" my dad asked. "absolutely terrified" I laughed half joking.

"I went to do some work early this morning and Arthur said he asked his twin sons of they would sit with you on the train and they said they would so we are going to meet them at the train station" my dad said. "sounds good" I said shoveling the waffles in my mouth.

once I finished my breakfast I took a quick shower blow dried and straightened my hair. I wasn't sure what to wear so I just decided to go with a pleated plaid skirt, nirvana shirt with a long sleeve striped shirt underneath and fishnets with my black doc marten boots. after I got dressed I did my makeup. light shimmer eyeshadow, mascara, hi lighter, eyeliner, and lipgloss. once I was pleased with my appearence I went downstairs to head to kings cross.

the ride to kings cross was both nerve-wracking and exciting. London was beautiful and as much as I miss home I think London might be a really good place for me. I wonder what Hogwarts has in store for me.

kings cross was huge and full of muggles of course. Arthur told my dad how to get to the platform so my dad was explaining it to me. "so I just run into the wall" I asked. "yep" my dad confirmed. without second thought I ran straight through the wall with my cart full of luggage. my mom and dad followed. with a quick glance I saw Arthur who starts approaching us. "Cora welcome to the Hogwarts Express" Arthur said to me. "thank you" I said excitedly. "come on I want to introduce you to my family" Arthur said.

my family and I trail behind Arthur over to a group of redheads and one boy with black hair and a scar on his head. "ok this here is my lovely wife Molly" Arthur said. "so nice to meet you" I said. "woah she's American? why didn't you tell us that" a boy with shaggy red hair said standing next to the black haired boy. "and I should've told you that why" Arthur asked. "because its kinda a big detail" the boy said. "sorry Cora that's my son Ron he's going into 4th year, this is my daughter ginny she is going into 3rd year, and these two are Fred and George they are in your year, they are going to be sitting with you on the train and they are also going to be showing you around Hogwarts" Arthur said.

my eyes landed on the twins, they were actually kind of beautiful. "hey Cora nice to meet you, we should get on the train" fred said shaking my hand. his hand was big. "ok lets go then" I said hugging my mom and dad goodbye.

my new life starts here.
