I walked in the door, and to no surprise, Karl wasn't home. I put my bag down, grabbed something to snack on, then went upstairs into my bedroom.

I sat quietly at my desk working on my homework, and antfrost slept soundly on my bed. Man, I should probably get him an actual bed if we're going to adopt him.

After a while, the front door opened, waking the once sleepy cat, I could hear the loud chattering of 5 teenage boys from my bedroom, they weren't quiet that's for sure. I told Antfrost to stay where he was while I went down to say hello to my brother and his friends.

"George, didn't you get absolutely toasted by a 7th grader on the first day back to school?" A familiar voice said before bursting out into a hysterical laughter.

"I-," he started.

"He got toasted by me," I made sure that i was heard over the 9th and 10th graders voices, "and Tommy"

"AND TOMMY!?" they all stared at me.

"Yah, then he had to give us a tour of the school" I gave George a small smile before turning my gaze back to the other 4, "Anyways, I should probably get back to my homework. See you all later." I turned away from the feral boys and went back up to my room.

After about and hour of work, Tommy called the group chat.

"I need answers for the homework," he belted out once everyone was in the call.

"Just google them!" Drista exclaimed.

"Yah, that's what I did." ranboo said, "Same with tubbo."

"God you all have a shity memory. This was all mentioned in class today!" I squeaked, then muted myself.

After the others finished their homework, I asked them what we should call our selves, since it's mid november, and we had agreed on "Half Past Five" or "HPF". Tommy said it was a dumb abbreviation, then left the call.

"Like I said yesterday, we should start meeting up every week and do something" Tubbo said once we found drista.

"Like what?" I looked at him.

"Go to the mall or some shit like that!" tommy mentioned.

"Wait, you like going to the mall?" I looked at him

"Well yah, it's not 'just a girl thing' you know."

"I've seen tons of boys at the mall alone." Tubbo giggled

"Probably scoping out the girls." I mumbled, drista gave a small huff in response to my remark.

~Flashback~

"KARL!!!" She yelled, looking for her caretaker.

Katelyn Jacobs was in grade 3 when she found out what her brother does every few months. Her short brown hair was just around shoulder length. The clothing she wore was oversized for her but that didn't seem to bother her. All she wanted was to spend some time with her brother.

Their parents were rarely ever home to look after the young children so they often had someone come by everyday to check up on them.

"KARL!!" The young girl started to get a little bit worried. Where could he be?

She heard a thud come from the basement. She decided to check it out, maybe her brother was down there. Katelyn slowly walked down the stairs to investigate the sound. She came across a door leading to a room with a purple sea green light peaking out from the edges of the door frame.
