Featuring She/Her Y/N with Hermione Granger

You're laying on a couch in the burrow, fiddling with your rings. The fire crackled beside you. The reason you were there was because Ginny and Ron are your best friends. It was getting late, and you needed to head up to bed and get some rest, but you didn't. You sigh, and throw your head back. You stop fidgeting with your rings and put them back on. Ginny walks in and sits next to you. "Hey Y/N." She says, tiredly. "Hey Ginny." You say back. You sit up. "Still thinking about her huh?" You nod, tears forming in your eyes. She puts her arm around your shoulder and hugs you close. "I'm sorry girl, but you need to get over her. She's obviously not that into you." You sigh again, and lean into Ginny's embrace. "I know G, I know. But it's so hard to let her go." You think back to all your memories with Hermione.

"And now if you two don't mind, we're going to bed," She grabs your arm, and you feel your face flush. "Before either of you come up with another clever way to get us killed, or worse, expelled." She pulled you into the bedroom and shut the door.

-First year

"And so if you flick your wand like this- Y/N? Are you even paying attention?! You asked me up here to help you in Charms, not so you could stare at me the whole time." You blushed, and looked down at the Astronomy Tower floor, while you were both laughing. "Sorry Herm, I just love your hair!" You said, trying to cover it up.

-Second year

"Herm, wait up!" You were running down the hall to where she was, books flying out of your hands. "Sorry about that, I'm such a klutz. How do you manage to get everywhere on time?" You asked. She laughed. "Time management I guess." You laughed with her, and walked to Potions together.

-Third year

"I can't believe he's stupid enough to put his name in the goblet!" She exclaimed. "I know!" You agreed. She was adorable when she was angry. "He's not even eligible, why would he do it in the first place?!" She continued rambling on while putting on pjs. You sat on your bed, already dressed. "I mean honestly, how stupid." You smiled again, as you both got under the blankets and fell asleep.

-Fourth year

There weren't many fun ones after that. You and her kind of fell out of touch, even though you were still very close. And then came the day when you told her how you felt. This was about a month ago. You and her were finishing up your 6th year at the time, and not on a high note.

"Hey Herm. You got a sec?" You said. "Yeah, of course! What's up Y/N?" She said. You smiled. She always seemed to have time for you. "I just, have something I want to tell you." You pulled her into an empty classroom. "Listen, I know we haven't been talking much, but I want you to know something." You took a deep breath. "Herm, I love you. A lot. Ever since the day in our first year when you welcomed me to the Gryffindor table, I knew something was different. Even after we stopped talking and hanging out as much, I still felt that spark." Hermione froze, and looked down, "Y/N, I-I, I don't know how to respond to-" You cut her off, your heart shattered. "It's fine Hermione, just forget I said anything." You left her there, and walked out of the room.

Ginny takes her arm off your shoulder, and Harry walks in the room. "Hey girls." Ginny blushed. She had always liked Harry. "Hey Harry." She said. He sits on the other side of you. "Hey Y/N, I have a question." You turn to him. "Ok, shoot." He says, "What's going on with you and Hermione?" You sigh deeply as the tears fill your eyes. "We don't talk anymore." You say. Ginny asks you, "What do you mean?" You repeat it. "We don't talk anymore." Harry says, "You don't talk anymore?" Ginny finishes his question with, "Like you used to do?" You nod, and hang your head. "We don't laugh anymore. What was all of it for?" You sigh, and a tear drips down your cheek. You continue, your voice hitching. "We don't talk anymore, like we used to do." Harry seems confused. "I thought you liked her? Why are you distancing yourself if you liked her?" He asks. Before you can speak, Ginny helps you out.

"When she confessed the day before we all left for home, Hermione didn't know got to respond to it, which really hurt Y/N's feelings. She practically shattered her heart, threw it in a blender, then threw that in the trash truck right before it went to the compactor!" She says, furiously. She was rambling on to the point where she made absolutely no sense what so ever. "Well, that's an overstatement." Ginny cut off Y/N. You hear a shuffle of two pairs of feet outside the entrance to the room. The three of you turn your heads in that direction. "I' ll check it out." You say. You get up and walk out, trying to find where the footsteps were coming from. You walk upstairs to Ron's room to hear a woman crying, and what sounded like Ron comforting her. "It's my fault she's like this Ron. I did this to her." It was Hermione. You creaked open the door to see Hermione on Ron's bed sitting next to him, head buried in his shoulder.

"I'm sure that's not the case Hermione, she did say that she liked you, and it was only a month ago that this happened." Hermione sits up straight. "No, you heard what she said, I shattered her heart. I'm a terrible person." You walk in with no warning, and crawl onto Hermione's bed. You throw your arms around her and whisper, "I love you Y/N L/N." She says. "I will always, love you, Hermione Granger." You say back, as she cries into your shoulder, and Ron leaves the room.
