Amanda Household:

"Jess, Niyah, it's time to go or we'll be late. Amanda told her daughter as she held her youngest daughter in her arms.

Amanda was going to drop off her kids at school then head to work.

Jesse Kaylin Rollins, 5, Billie Ruby Rollins, 2, and Aniyah Ivy Rollins, 15.

"Coming." Jesse said as she walked out of her room.

A few minutes later Aniyah and Jesse walked toward the front door.

"Y'all ready?" Amanda asked

"Yeah, let go." Jesse said as they walked out the front door.

Benson Household:

"Noah, are you ready? Olivia asked her son as she took her keys.

Noah Porter Benson, 8.

"Yes, I'm ready." Noah said

"Yeah, I'm ready." Noah said

"Okay, let go." Olivia said as they left the apartment.

"Is Anyiah still going to pick me up after school today to practice the dancing routines

"Yep." Olivia said

"Great." Noah said as they approached Olivia car

Captain Olivia Benson sat back in her chair for a moment to rest her back. Her thoughts immediately traveled to what Amanda Rollins had said in the interrogation room.

Rollins had said in the interrogation room.

A few minutes later, Olivia entered the break room and she saw Amanda sitting at the table.

"Good job today." Olivia said, sitting down next to Amanda.

"Thank you." Amanda said when she saw her eldest daughter walking into the break room.

"Aniyah, what are you doing here?" Olivia asked when she saw Aniyah enter the room.

"I'm on a lunch break." Aniyah said that while avoiding eye contact with her mother and Olivia.

"Really Aniyah, what's going on. Your lunch was an hour ago." Amanda said

"Okay, I'll skip the rest of the school day," Aniyah said

"Why? Olivia asks

"Because the same bunch of girls have been bullying me for being adopted because they think that I'm because of what color my mother is and stuff like that. And before you do say anything, yes I know that I am not adopted." Aniyah said

"Aniyah, you do know that there is nothing wrong with being adopted, Right?" Amanda asked

"Yeah I know that. But being adopted in some cases just means that their parents didn't want them. And you should know that mom still your parents gave you up." Aniyah said

Amanda just rolled her eyes at the daughter knowing that Aniyah was just angry and wasn't trying to upset her.

"Okay how about you go sit at my desk and do some homework while I finish a few things here." Amanda said

"Okay." Aniyah said as she walked out of the break room and over to her mom's desk.

Olivia looked over at Amanda. She was about to say something but Amanda cut her off.

"Before you say anything, yes, what Riley said is true. I was adopted, actually I was born in New York. Apparently my mother was born at 16 and gave it to me. adoption." Amanda said

"Manhattan?" Olivia questioned

"Ya, I was born on April 13th 1980 at Mercy Hospital." Amanda said

Olivia's heart skipped a beat for a moment without her young blond companion noticing.

"I should get Aniyah home." Amanda said

"Okay." Olivia said

As Olivia watched the younger woman's back retreat to her desk and grab her stuff and leave with her daughter.

When she returned to her desk, her head was spinning at a rate of one mile per minute. Too many details about Amanda's past resemble her situation.

Olivia thought about her daughter, whom she gave up to adopt the same day, and the hospital in which her youngest detective was born.

'Could it be.' Olivia thought to herself as she sat down in her chair.
