- Witnessing a murder (197 words)
Eleanor took another sip of her expensive wine that tastes nothing but awful, nevertheless she still continued drinking the blood-red liquid. She wanted to get drunk. Get drunk and run away. Poor Eleanor was fired from her job just an hour ago, for false accusations.
Stealing the store's clothes, she thought, that was something she would never do and besides, the clothes they sold were mostly ragged and given at ridiculous prices.
What's worse was that her boss was also Eleanor's close friend and to think that she didn't believe her? Unbelievable.
The bartender leered at Eleanor and offered her a beer bottle, "On the house." He smiled. She scoffed at the words, she knew well that it was leftover beer from former customers. "Delightful." Said Eleanor, showing a fake smile.
3:01am, read the clock. She was still at the rusty bar. Drunk. "We're closing now, get out would ya?" The owner said sternly yet at the same time trying to sound polite. She nodded but she didn't move. "Look miss, I don't have time to take care of some drunk woman who's probably in her late 20's." He rolled his eyes.
